They didn’t lose to a 6 loss team,

...not only did they not lose by two touchdowns at home to a six loss team, they also did not have to play two overtimes to beat another...your points concerning Baylor and Kansas pale in comparison to OSU’s slip-ups...

...instead of trying to end the conversation, why don’t you expand it, and acknowledge the obvious takeaway from all this...prestige and fannies in the seats mean more than on field body of work with those that run the game...

...you know, that old chestnut ‘the more things change...’ and all that sort of thing...

You can blame it on an internal political conspiracy about tickets and fan base, but it's pretty clear that an early season loss to a 6-6 team that ended up being bowl eligible did not overshadow the Big-10 championship game, and that the TCU-Kansas game, amount of points scored on TCU during the Baylor loss, and the lack of a Big 12 championship game sealed the deal.

You should blame the Big 12 commissioner for wrecking the conference, not the Playoff Committee who made the common sense decision.
