Four teams in playoff:
1: 'Bama
2: Oregon
3: FSU
4: THE Ohio State University
UT deserves a lot of blame for the mess the Big XII is in.
Five conferences.....four Slots....herein lies the problem.
The other conferences are essentially two conferences in one, with the divisions.
Let’s say we eliminate the Big XII and distribute the remaining teams to the other conferences. Now we’re down to four conferences, Perfect! And thus we can truly have a completely objective playoff system. Four conference champions, which will be in the playoffs. And with the Conference Championship games, it is essentially now an eight-team playoff.
Which means Notre Dame better find themselves a conference if they want in.
It’s inevitable, if this system is going to work.
But UT is going to have to swallow their pride and admit they can no longer be the big fish in a small pond, and let the Big XII die.
Amid the new allegations re Winston, who knows how good the 'Noles are. I for one don't think Winston would be a starter on a Big Ten team after all the crap he has been involved with.
And why in hell are political figures weighing in on College football games? Even the dumb ass Obama was weighing in saying how there needed to be changes.
TCU probably didn’t have a Baylor or Kansas fired coach see them the coaches sideline signals in advance.

LOL- right; because the TV $$$ of the title game are decided AFTER the teams in the game are announced... good point /sarc
point of “flagship school comment” was in reference to post #67 but hey; why expect you to look any further than in front of your face...
anyway, you believe a 1 loss TCU team deserves to play ahead of a 1 loss Ohio State team- i don’t know what to tell you...
meanwhile the SEC consistently had as many as four teams in the mix for the final four throughout the season...
the ACC? right- one....
Bama’s D is going to shut down Corch Irvin Meyers offense down. Just axe Corrine Brown.
Meyer is going to be hitting the Prilosec hard. LOL!
What kills me is that the entire time Muschamp was at UF, he couldn’t develop ONE decent QB. And Meyer has developed THREE in one year.
He really screwed us over.
Yep, without TCU or Baylor there’s a big???
Miles has been at LSU 10 years and hasn’t had but one. If they hadn’t had Mteetnberger the past few years, it would’ve been horrible.
Y’all made a good hire with McIlwain.
Congrats to the schools that are in the playoffs. Alabama looked good yesterday, but to be fair, all of the playoff teams looked good.
The good news for Missouri of course, is that if they are able to win the eastern division of the SEC conference next year for the third straight year, then they would qualify to apply for membership in the ACC...
Sorry, I’m forgetting, I really am. Who did Meyer develop after Tebow?
Wisconsin is owed a big pay check by OSU...they laid down and died the final 45 minutes. You could see it on the players' faces.
Answered my own question.

“FSU is a lucky team. Winston is mediocre at best.”
At least two sportswriters have speculated that FSU’s wins reflect MORE than luck, yet not all skill. As in: Divine Intervention? Could Oregon be going up against God’s team?
Amazing how all the posters who think Wisconsin threw the game for Ohio State are all from the state of Texas.
So who promised to make Melvin Gordon whole, now that he only added a few yards for his Heisman run? I guess it must be some fatcat Ohio State booster.
/sarc
Gordon pulled a “Clowney” when OSU went up by 14. He’s headed to the NFL, and didn’t want to get hurt in a lost cause.
