As I stated earlier, re_nortex had it exactly right.
Thank God the Committee got their head out of their ass and made the correct call. TCU had no business in the playoff, much less AHEAD of FSU.
And the Buckeyes crushingly dominant win over a 10-2 Wisconsin in the last game of the season which also happened to be the Conference championship game was more impressive than any game Baylor or TCU played all season.
Looking at it dispassionately, the committee did indeed get it right and the matchups will be compelling with Saban-Meyer meeting again and Heisman QBs (Marcus Mariota is a lock) squaring off. As a Texan pulling for our regional teams, I would have put Baylor in the playoff but that would have been due to my homer bias.
That said, ESPN's Paul Finebaum made a good point a few minutes ago. The rankings last week when TCU jumped FSU top land at #3 and then the fall to #6 indicated that the path to the final four was rocky and the pentultimate ordering gave what turned out to be false hope for a Big XII team.
