I hope he doesn't end up getting someone killed.
I'm definitely not on board with the queer thing. I don't want it in my face, I don't want to see it at all. That said, I'm relieved they aren't going to make Daryl queer, at least.
"I recall reading last year (right here on FRs TWD thread) that the actor who played Herschel got picked up for DUI in Atlanta during shooting, and THAT was the reason Herschel got written out of the series.
"With that tidbit in mind, what did Emily do to get fired?"
I don't think she did anything...I think they just figured her storyline was over. They clearly wanted to bring Beth front and center, and mold her into a bad###.
I remember Scott Wilson's DUI. I never heard that was the reason he was written out...actually I doubt it was. I don't think liberal writers would blink an eye at such a thing; they'd be more likely to laugh at it. Wilson was on TD with Kirkman the night Hershel was killed, and Kirkman said something like, "You should have fought harder for us to keep your character on the show." (Moron). I could be wrong, though.
I remember it was either Norman Reedus or Emily Kinney who said they tried moonshine for the first time at Scott Wilson's house, LOL.
I wasn't expecting that either, but in retrospect it makes sense. Too many facial scars. Hottie factor drops. Leaves Maggie as the sole babe. For now.
That death was el stupido. I don’t mind her croaking, but they could have done just as well having a tree fall on her while she sleeps or something.
‘Rick, these people rape and beat people, this guy comes with us.’ Instead, she stabs their leader with scissors in the shoulder. OK then.
Freegards
Yea, it's going to be called "Tired Feet and the Long Bus Ride Home..."
You and me too. Morgan shows up at the end as you already konw. Feb will come soon enough.
LOL!
Wanna trade homes for a year? I'm in S.E. Michigan, just north of Detroit.......
The advantage of where I live are the major highways. The disadvantage is they're filled with cars..........LOL!
First my disclaimer: I haven't watched the episode yet nor do I seldom ever without reading the threads first. It gives me insight into what to look for as the episode progresses.......
I can watch an entire episode before reading the thread synopsis and find myself being completely blind to what happened in certain circumstances....
But back to Beth, she never became a warrior as the others have and now in a hostile environment, she obviously did what she thought she could with what she had....and it didn't work out. In other words, she had the survival spirit but not the knowledge that the scissors (from what I've read) she was using would not do the job she intended.
She did what a kid of her age would do and kudos to the writers who recognized that fact.
There already was a gay character.
One of the gang members that Daryl temporarily hung out with (after the prison and on the way to Terminus) tried to (or succeeded) in raping Carl.
Better yet, how long has General Hospital been on the air?.....LOL!
I wouldn’t trade Wyoming for Detroit ever! Our closest neighbor is two miles away and I can walk out the front door, shoot at the coyotes and other than the coyotes there’s no one around to care.
Makes me think of what a friend of mine said one day.
She sniffed at the air outside our house and she says, “Can you smell it?”
“Smell what?” I said.
“Freedom.”
That’s Wyoming!
Big deal, we've got more traffic than you.....so there!
And did I mention ice fishing?
Beth should’ve went for Dawns eye. Dumb dumb dumb. Actually I don’t know why Beth didn’t shoot Dawn when she got the dead cops gun before her escape attempt. She should’ve went Rick Grimes on her ass.
LOL!!! You can have the traffic!
We have ice fishing, too. We go out to the creek, poke a hole in the ice, and then wait for the trout to bite. We have a natural pond on the property that has some largemouth in it but we throw them back in if we catch them just because they’re kind of rare around here. Lots of brown and rainbow trout but we also see cutts once in a while.
I hear you...but it was just one more thing about her which served to irritate me, you know?
Sometimes when Im watching a WD episode for the first time, I dont pick up on everything because Im so hyped up and nervous, so it takes a second viewing to catch some details. Last night we rewound and watched the trade/death scene again, and I shook my head at the pointlessness of it. Beth pretty much committed suicide.
I did get emotional over the groups reactions, especially Maggies. That killed me, and Im going to have some hard watching ahead of me as she grieves her sisters death.
