For an entire half season that just seemed to move painfully slow at times, the last 10-15 minutes of this episode seemed really rushed to me. Like the editors realized all of a sudden that they had wasted a lot of time on unnecessary scenes all season long so far and just had to tie everything up real fast.

The timeline of the show is around 18 months after the zombie apocalypse. The dead are rotting but not stopped; in real life they’d be to decomposed to move in a few weeks, but the virus may slow decomposition.
The virus drives them to bite/eat living things to spread the virus, but the zombies don’t have to eat anything to continue to exist.

She’ll be a top contender for a comic conventions for the next few years, and given her age and looks, get a lot of offers for other horror and sci-fi shows.

No other character who was killed off on TWD cried while talking about their character on TTD.

Hershel was pretty emotional if I recall...but no, he didn't cry

I hope we don’t see TWD going the way of Doctor Who and Torchwood under Russ Davies: constantly beating the homo drums.

I recall reading last year (right here on FR’s TWD thread) that the actor who played Herschel got picked up for DUI in Atlanta during shooting, and THAT was the reason Herschel got written out of the series.

With that tidbit in mind, what did Emily do to get fired?

Looks like she won’t get to go to the birthday party after all.

I could have sworn that they either were going to have Daryl come out as a homo gay man or kill him off. Maybe thats for next season. That’s it, he’s going to have an affair with Glenn and Maggie is going to kill him.

Nope, sorry!!! The writer stated unequivocally, they’re not going to have Darryl be queer (my word, not his)

He’s straight.

Well, I just watched last night’s episode and finished this thread.
Nobody mentioned how Carl is going to react to Beth’s death.
Remember how they used to make, “Eyes,” toward each other at the start of season 3?

Not sure why she was written off the show. She was on the follow up show, Talking Dead, and could not keep back her tears :(

She’s a talented actress and will certainly have plenty of other opportunities.

Just some old cynicism coming through...

I generally didn’t care so much about this past season-so far, that is!
I liked the actress who played the head cop, but I thought that the entire hospital portion of this season wasn’t written very well...I found it hard to follow..maybe that’s just me, though..
But I’m glad Morgan is back. I love Lennie James!!!

Just watched last nights episode and have this observation to share:

The part where Gabriel the wuss priest went back to the school he found the bible in the backpack and opened it to 2 Chronicles chapters 8-10, then as he lowers the bible he sees Bobs charred foot on the grill.

This was obviously referencing the verse Chronicles 8:12

"Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch"

An Easter egg of sorts.

According to the after show (TD), that was considered but discarded after the online outrage such as has been reflected here on FR. So I think everyone can stop worrying about that. Instead you can start worrying when Daryl is gonna get bit and make his exit. He came super close last week with the melted-into-the-pavement walkers.

"Yes. Losing Herschel was devastating (in the sense of a tv series). Losing Beth is sad, but not as much of a loss. Kwim? I think she was considered expendable. Unfortunately. May we all never be considered expendable in a TV series (or in life)."

LOL

There were certain things about Beth which irked me. I think I like the actress more than the character.

I'm still trying to figure out why Beth thought it was a good move to try and stab Dawn with a pair of small scissors. There they were, with two factions on hairtriggers and ready to kill each other. She could have precipitated a firefight that would have left all of her people dead. It was just very stupid. And the scissors didn't even go in---they were hanging off Dawn's uniform.
