The NFL is a passing QB’s league. When was the last time a rushing QB won a Superbowl?

Superbowl Winning QB’s since 2000
2000—Warner
2001—Dilfer
2002—Brady
2003—Johnson
2004—Brady
2005—Brady
2006— Roethlisberger
2007—P. Manning
2008—E. Manning
2009—Roethlisberger
2010—Brees
2011—Rodgers
2012—E. Manning
2013—Flacco
2014—Wilson

Wilson is the most effective runner on that list, but he also has a “career” (three year) QB rating of nearly 100. You don’t learn to stay in the pocket you don’t win on the big stage....

If you want a video game at QB (think Michael Vick in his prime) and generate lots of excitement and crazy plays, then go for it. Just don't expect to win championships.

On the other hand if you want a pocket passer, don't pick a guy who's instinct is to take the ball and run on every play and tell him to stand in the pocket and go through his progressions instead. It just doesn't work.

Said another way, nobody tries to tells Tom Brady or Drew Brees to run around and try to scramble for first downs on most plays. Because they know it won't work. So why do they tell people like Vick or RGIII to play like Brady or Brees and expect it to work?
