Full title: The rape allegations against Bill Cosby are a classic case of he said/she she she she she she she she she she she she she she, she said - and 15 women cant all be lying
One of my favourite Twitter parody accounts is @TheTweetOfGod .
It's cheeky, irreverent, has over 1.6 million followers - and an unnerving ability to hit the proverbial nail on the head. Last night, it addressed the mounting Bill Cosby scandal with this tweet:
The rape allegations against Bill Cosby are a classic case of he said/she she she she she she she she she she she she she she said.
Aint that the truth?
The total number of women who have claimed Cosby drugged and raped them is now 15. (The actress Janice Dickinson being the latest, yesterday.)

I’m inclined to agree with you.
Did Cosby do this? I don’t have a clue but I’m inclined to think it’s possible. Not just because he is most likely a slut-puppy, but because of the culture in which they all lived. I’m pretty sure that being with men of power and influence existed in Hollywierd..and probably most likely does today as well. It sounds like there was a whole lot of drinking, drugs and sex going on. Not my kinda world...but I have never been too impressed by fame or power. Nor aspired to such.
If these events happened as depicted...did these women “deserve it”? No, but as you pointed out...if there were repeat events? It does give one pause.
Maybe Cosby wasn’t as much of a nice guy as they thought he might be. Maybe he didn’t help them. Maybe there is a money motive involved.
These women were not toddlers coached to the point of “false memory syndrome.” These were women in their teens and twenties. Here is the best explanation for how Cosby got away with it. In fact, the article does mention the Jimmy Savile case, but this article below is a much better exposition and explanation of the dynamic.
+ + + + + +
This is how Cosby got away with it. He was more selective, but he was also protected by his superstar status.
How BBC star Jimmy Savile allegedly got away with abusing 500 children and sex with dead bodies
Jimmy Savile was never a handsome man. His face, even in his early days at the BBC, was all sharp edges the hook of his nose, the jagged-tooth grin, the boggle-eyed look of eccentricity, humor and derangement. At times, he seemed almost make believe. He had platinum hair. A fat cigar perpetually hung out of his mouth. He seemed to communicate exclusively in catchphrases: now then, now then, howzabout that then, as it appens. The kids just loved his gags.
There was always something off about Savile, who hosted the BBCs Jimll Fix it, palled around with the royal family, reportedly spent holidays with the Thatchers and was knighted not only by Queen Elizabeth but by Pope John Paul II. But most forgave his idiosyncratic nature. He was, after all, a great man. He raised $5.2 million for a hospital in Leeds, one of the United Kingdoms largest. He volunteered countless hours as a hospital aide, busing patients to and fro. He helped scores of young doctors get their starts.
Sure, there were rumors. Whispers that he wasnt everything he seemed. Murmurs he was really a sexual predator and had abused dozens of children. But they never stuck. Not Jimmy Savile, people told themselves not fix-it Jim.
On October 29, 2011, Savile died at his home in Leeds. Most of all, I remember him as just a totally flamboyant, over-the-top, larger-than-life character, radio presenter David Hamilton told the Guardian, praising his tireless philanthropy. And as he was on the air, he was just the same off.
But he wasnt. And just how wrong that assessment was emerged this month.
Savile, according to a U.K. National Health Service investigation released Thursday, was a prolific pedophile. The health service investigation only confirmed behavior described in several earlier probes since his death. In all, Savile is believed to have abused at least 500 girls and boys, some as young as two, most between 13 and 15, as well as countless adults ranging up to 75 years old. With unfettered access to Leeds General Infirmary, the health service report said, he raped and fondled boys, girls, men and women in offices and corridors. He also allegedly committed sexual acts on dead bodies, and even told several hospital workers that he made jewelry out of one mans glass eyeball.
As shocking as the findings are, even more shocking is the fact that Savile got away with it for so long. That realization has shaken our country to the core, U.K. Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said Thursday. For decades, while Savile hosted show after show and glad-handed, the abuse went on. Numerous columns have asked: How? How did no one know? Why wasnt he stopped?
The answer, according to the National Health Service, psychologists, and academics, lies in the pervasive and intimidating power of celebrity. He was so well-known that even when his behavior struck some as strange or lewd, he was allowed to carry on because he was Jimmy Savile and was raising millions. I dont know if he were a law unto himself, but because of his celebrity status, he sort of basically had the run of the place, one hospital worker told investigators.
One woman recalled Savile sexually assaulting her when she was 16. Even decades later, she told investigators, she remembered it vividly. After he was done, he turned an imperial eye to her. You wont talk about this, he told her. Nobody will believe you. Im Jimmy Savile. I can get you. The girl said she told her mother, but she didnt believe her. The girl never talked about it again.
Her own MOM would not believe her. So who else would believe her? Nobody. So she became one more silent victim. The same celebrity worship protected Cosby all those years. Just swap the name Savile and Cosby in the above paragraph. That’s how it works.
Keep in mind my comments are based on the assumption that Cosby is innocent. I am not being an armchair barrister.
When you “come to” from many types of prescription knockout pills, you are not exactly ready to play a D.A. on Special Victims Unit. You are woozy and wobbly and out of focus for many hours after, while you are shoved out the door into a cab or whereever.
Read the Jimmy Savile case at #82 to understand how this celebrity protection racket works.
Agree 100%. Lots of folks are going to eat crow on this.
So do you think Savile and Cosby are the only Hollywierdos that have enjoyed this protection and entitlement?
I really don’t. It doesn’t absolve them of any blame ot make it right...but I will bet you dollars to donuts the practice continues today.
Please read #82.
Also, bear in mind that Cosby was a frequent weeks-long guest at the Playboy mansions in Chicago and L.A., where pretty young model/bunny/playmate types stayed as long as they were “available” to Hefner and his guests.
Cosby really tore it up at the Playboy mansions into his 40s....married all the while. The S.O.P. for Hefner was to load the girls up with quaaludes to “get them in the mood.” Cosby was there for the glory days.
Remember his “Spanish Fly” skit?
But by his 40s, carousing at the Playboy mansion would harm his more “wholesome” image. But, (IMHO) he still had a taste for pretty young model types. And as an A-list celeb (like Jimmy Savile in the UK) he had girls clamoring to latch onto his ladder to stardom. He offered “mentoring” and then (IMHO) drugged and betrayed them.
Please read the Jimmy Savile article at #82.
Of course! Bill Clinton being example #1.
You can bet Mr. “Put Some Ice On That Lip” has “no comment!” on Cosby’s troubles!
And there you have it. :)
” Piers Morgan molested me.
Theres 1 “
Piers Molested me too!
There’s 2
Cosby (according to what I read) misused (at the least) a wide spectrum of girls, from 16 year old starry-eyed virgins, to late-20s “party girls” who were pretty tripped out themselves. Some of whom came back for seconds. But not all, by any means. Don’t judge the raped-once teenager by the groupie types. They are not the same.
But from the ingenues to the tripped out groupies, they all report the same M.O.
1. Gain trust, promising a ladder to stardom.
2. Get alone under various pretenses or pure opportunity
3. Drug them. “Have some flu medicine, dear!” being only one trick.
4. Sexually assault them.
Anything is possible. The question is what is probable.
Do women go over to a man’s hotel bedroom because they have pure intentions?
Or do they go over because they intend to, ah, have some fun with the person they are going to visit?
Repeat events.
Requesting booze
Requesting pills.
I think it is much more probably that most of them were very willing partners at the time.
The question is, what is their motivation now?

[ How about all those kids who were trained to say they were molested at that day care center?
Was that the one in Florida when Janet Reno was the prosecutor ? ]
Janet Reno, that is someone i wouldn’t let my daughters get within 5 miles of.... If I had daughters that is.
Yep, I understand what you say. Divorced when my son was 11 years old. I could not see him except under restricted conditions, because I was "a danger to him and his mother." I went through hell for 2 years until he was 13 years old and could then speak in court and his word be considered by the judge. She did not contest and just signed the papers. She totally destroyed her relationship with our son.
It only cost me everything that I had and more. It was the best damn bargain I made in my life.
That was 26 years ago. Life is good for my son and I. I actually feel sorrow for her now. That took a long time.
The claimed MO is hardly secret now.
You could make the same claim as these women.
Anyone else could make the same claim as these women.
The claims I have read so far have as much credibility as, what was her name Crystal Magnum from the Duke Lacrosse case.
A women simply does not go to a man’s hotel bedroom !
Indeed, we seem to worship celebrities so much we put them up so high in a pedestal we ignore any signs that they are committing mortal sins.
The point i was trying to make was that there are allegations, however I am all for sending Cosby to court and if possible get a conviction if found guilty.
