When Playboy ops moved to LA the real degeneracy set in. I’ll bet for racial reasons a Bill Cosby would never have been able to “bunk” at the Chicago playboy mansion. But Southern California was “wide open” so ...

The one that broke this news was the 2004 rape and her going to the police and him settling out of court in 2006 after 13 more women came forward to support that victim with similar drug/rape tales of Cosby.

Why were her parents allowing a 15 year old to fly to New York to stay overnight with a grown man ? Not just once, but repeatedly.
Maybe Mom knew, but denied it because 'her daughter was going to be a star someday'. No matter what her daughter had to do.

Good question. I suppose the easy answer as to “why” is that her parents were star-struck fools. But no answer to that “WHY” question changes WHAT Cosby apparently did to her and why she was so confused afterwards She was a 15 year old child, and Cosby apparently raped her after administering hypnotic drugs that distorted and/or partially eliminated her memory of the event.
Administration of hypnotic drugs was apparently part of Cosby’s M.O. according to all of the other accounts. That and taking advantage of his super-stardom status and approximate 20 year age difference with most victims to win their confidence and manipulate them.
I find little reason to doubt the allegations that he was a power-crazed, sex-obsessed, lecherous man.
I’m just saying that there were plenty of other people involved, besides the female victims, who could have done something to stop it.

Indeed. Many. And essentially all who turned a blind eye are culpable.
