Change your voter registration NOW!. There is no voting action we can do to get rid of GOP RINO's until 2 more years so....
EVERYONE should change your voter registration to INDEPENDENT Right now.
We would have 2 years to make (I) the majority in every state. Even some Democrats would join Independants after this bozo.
I KNOW some wonderful people who do not follow the news like we do, and have just been lifelong demcrats because their parents were... I have seen them get more and more disgusted with what this guy is doing.

The United States is organized into a two party political system and has been ever since the political party first appeared on the scene. The Federalists and the Whigs are no longer with us, their remnants having merged with the new Republican Party. Third parties have gone no where in our system and Independents are no party at all, the two Independents in the U.S. Senate are socialists who caucus with the Democrats.
If you want to form a new party, fine. But, it has do be done in a way that kills off one of the two dominant parties, that’s how it works in this country and your anger at the current state of affairs is not going to change that dynamic.

Pragmatically speaking... if you live in a dem state... switch your registration to dem. That way you have a say in who they put forth in the general, and can vote the crazier ones out. If you’re living in a repub state... the only way you can attempt getting rid of Rino’s is by voting them out during the primary.... unless your state has open voting. Then go for it... switch to indy.

Just to get the conversation started, my first thought was “asinine”. The Republican party is energized. The recent General Election win is not going to be taken lightly yet. What makes much more sense to me is for those with the negative attitude regarding the Republican Party to get up off the couch and go to work. The Party, regardless of which one R, D, I, L, C, G, is made up of people doing work. So, the more folks working who are for example Tea Party Republican’s the greater the influence on how the party operates the way you want it to.
The bottom line for most states, is the Primary. Win the primary and you have a good shot at the General, put yourself on the outside looking in by not being able to vote in the primary of choice and you are handicapped from the start. If I can count there are nineteen states with open primaries. http://grassrootsidgop.wordpress.com/list-of-states-with-open-and-closed-primaries/ So, depending on where one lives you could be out of business before voting even begins just by your choice of party or lack of choice.
It has always been my contention that working within the system to make it right or work for you takes time, effort, money, and even then you don’t automatically win right away, but stick with it and things can change for the better. After all, how do you think we just got a big win? It was six years coming maybe even fourteen, but more likely ten. One Bush term and a term and a half of Obama. Thats the timetable. Don’t like it and you risk eternal frustration.
Want something really different and what are the choices? Whatever your desire it takes a large number of people to get it done, and if it is just frustration talking, how many are going to listen to you and follow? You need a plan of action, and fighting the rejuvenated Republicans when the win just happened is not a good one IMHO. You are fighting the WAVE that will last at least a year, if the Congress even hints at trying to follow the Constitution.
Texas has no party registration. Every 2 years one has the right to pick whichever party primary in which to vote. There are just a few important things to remember. If one is a candidate in one party, then it is forbidden to vote in another primary. In order to go to the state party convention, it is necessary to vote in that party’s primary. If one votes in one party’s primary, then it is prohibited to vote in another party’s runoff.
Valid point. Melting phone lines and letters that sound reasonable, rather than threatening, at least might get the attention of staffers paid to sift through the mail and phone calls. They only listen when enough people get off their duffs and stop whining about how no one is listening, and form letters do not get the job done.
I just wonder under present circumstances if we could as a nation, summon the will to win a real war, by listening to the neighsayers.

I live in CA. I have voted the straight GOP ticket since I have been eligible to vote. I don’t have a single regret.
Not that every Republican candidate I have ever voted for was perfect. Far from it. But ALL Democrats out here on the Left Coast are Marxists. No exceptions. But not voting, or by throwing your vote away on a hopeless third party candidate, you are effectively voting Democrat.
Our only realistic chance of advancing the conservative cause is within the Republican Primary. Here in CA we now have a blanket primary which means only the two candidates with the most votes advance to the runoff which also effectively eliminates third party candidates from consideration.

Not only will their votes not change anything, landslide elections will not change anything.
We have one civil option remaining, and that is an article V convention of the states, but that options assumes that the federal government will obey anything that comes from such a convention, which I don’t assume at all that it will.
Beyond that...better left unsaid.

...and speaking of frustration, CA is a subject all it’s own. Greatest state in the Union, with everything one could want in life, except good government. Yet there are good people there somewhat overshadowed by the Boxer, Pilosi, and Feinstein trio. And the spending habits that regard high speed rail as more important than Central Valley Agriculture.
Jeb Bush, Chris Christie and Mitt Romney, who will benefit from “Independent” Conservatives not being able to vote for Ted Cruz or Scott Walker in the 2016 Republican Primaries, appreciate your support and quick action on this matter!
CA’s woes can explained in one word: demographics.
Hard to believe, but the state used to vote reliably Republican in presidential elections, voting GOP in ever presidential election from 1952 to 1992 (except 1964).
But now whites make up less than 40% of the population in CA. Which explains why the state is solid and blue and one-party these days.
The Democrats rely on a steady stream of illegal immigration to replenish their numbers which also explains why Soetoro did what he did last night.
