Just like Gore-Bull Warming, dissenting voices are not allowed thus they can claim that there is no dissent. Next will be illegal immigration, abortion on demand, gun bans, etc.
Hey, if you can't win the argument just control the debate.
It’s a university, but still...
colleges are the most anti-freedom places in the country these days, besides the media
Thanks, Frank. You’re doing great. /sarcasm
You’ll notice that the logic is “Same-sex marriage is OK because you aren’t allowed to disagree with it”.
Sue the university.
Roman Catholic? Not very.
One of N reasons (where N is a large number) where the church has left us, Jesuits are now silly little laughiable people, and Catholic universities are little better than pub(l)ic schools.
This teacher sounds like the Kevin Sorbo character in “God’s Not Dead”
Lord please help this student find a way to keep fighting.
Aside from being a jackass, the professor is objectively wrong: everyone does NOT agree about gay marriage. Is denying a basic, provable fact allowable at Marquette? Even now, when some polls show a slight majority in favor of gay marriage, 45-49% still oppose it. More to the point, the Catholic Church does not allow gay marriage.
Gay “marriage” is like global warming - “the science is settled”.
Just guessing but I suspect that Cheryl Abbate is queer.
The teacher is an educated idiot. Look at her dissertation topic:
Cheryl Abbate is currently a doctoral student in the philosophy department at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is currently working on her dissertation titled, Nonresponsible and Innocent Threats: the Search for Liability to Defensive Harm in Forced-Choice Situations and plans to defend in May 2016.
Before attending Marquette University, Cheryl studied at Colorado State University, where she obtained her MA in philosophy. At CSU, Cheryl focused primarily on issues within applied ethics, specifically environmental ethics, feminist military ethics, and animal ethics. Bernard Rollin served as her primary thesis advisor, guiding Cheryl through her thesis work concerning the ethics of performing biomedical research on sentient beings.
Before attending CSU, Cheryl double majored in Philosophy and Business Management at the University of St Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Cheryls research interests are first and foremost Animal Ethics, including how Animal Ethics intersects with Animal Theology, Animal Minds, and Animal Consciousness. Cheryl also pursues research in military ethics, bioethics, environmental ethics, ecofeminism, and feminist philosophy. Click here for a list of her publications.
I knew it was going to be at Marquette. My seriously unbeloved alma pater. That was where I learned that my 100% didn’t count because I was a girl.
Annual tuition $35,930/yr.
Parents should just vote with their feet. No need to pay that much when the public school down the street can give you the same bs for less.
Seems the place has changed since future Sen. Joe McCarthy (R-Wis.) studied there.
Why would any serious Christian want to pay big bucks to attend this hellhole?
