Well, this is becoming a bit of a weekly tradition now isnt it? For a third consecutive week and the fourth time this season, The Walking Dead has solidly beat Sunday Night Football among adults 18-49. In the sixth episode of its fifth season, the blockbuster AMC series drew a 7.3 rating among the key demo while the New England Patriots 42-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts got a 6.2. Thats a 15% spread.

Too late...
SiS BOOM BRAAAAAAINNNNNNNSSSS!
I dated a few cheerleaders... they could use them...
After the NFL on Thursday night, some college games on Friday, college games from noon to past midnight on Saturday and two rounds of NFL games on Sunday afternoon maybe people are just a little overdosed on football by Sunday night.
If there were 24 hours of zombie shows before the Sunday night showing of Walking Dead it might suffer in the ratings too.
Those combined with more stuff like "Walking Dead" should push it down to 80 or 75 in another ten years.
We'll have half the population talking and functioning like Radio.
We would only watch TWD.
ROLFMAO.
Yeah, Modern Family and other homo shows are much better for society.
1. Most of the games have been boring blowouts
2. We’re sick of Bob Costas and other sportscaster types getting political on us.
LOL, to Mullet Man...
It’s all the same garbage. Homos in the locker rooms; homos in the florist shops. Same/Same.
Me too.
I was flipping back and forth all night. My wife wasn’t home, so we will rematch the zombies tonight.
“Zombie cheerleaders!”
How ‘bout:
Zombie Strippers! (really bad movie with Freddie Krueger as strip club owner)

“New England Patriots 42-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts”, not much of a game after half-time.
It is really difficult to watch televised football anymore. I love to watch football. The NFL is trying to figure out why rating keep falling. I would offer the following Problems:
1. Too many constant and incredibly stupid commercials.
2. attempting to appeal to the female audience. On filed interviews asking athletes how they feel about loosing, winning, getting injured, losing career, etc.
3. announcers that want to talk about everything under the sun except the play on the field.
4. Not showing the cheerleaders enough. These ladies go through a lot to retain their place in the squad but seem to be blacked out due to 2 above.
5. The NFL is not the judicial system. It is not up to the NFL to hand down punishment for off the field infractions unless it affects the individual ability to play the game.
6. Too damn many assigning commercials.
7. Let the players play the game. We are not watching to see how many yellow flags can be thrown or how the officials can effect the game.
8. Too damn many stupid and insulting commercials.
9. Too many idiotic and moronic commercials.
Thank you for listening.
Agree. They’ve really stepped it up a notch.
The show is great when they are on the move. Whenever they stay put, it gets all boring and soap opera’y.
You wanna increase rating in football. Make the game 4 minutes in length, 1/2 2 minute warning and 2nd half 2 minute warning...a lot of the time, the rest of the game is boring.
Oh, if you threw in zombie cheerleaders, that might also help. :-D
I'm retired, but my wife has two years to go. While she's working and we don't see much of each during the week, I feel it is my spousal obligation to watch (actually sit on the sofa with her) her lousy tv shows. I thoroughly detest virtually all her favorite shows.. Dancing With The Stars, Biggest Loser, Survivor, Home And Garden Channel.
When she's retired, and home all the time, things will change. We do have more than one tv.
