The biocontainment unit is a separate facility from the rest of the medical center, with a completely separate air circulation system. Nothing gets out of the unit.
It’s 3 or 4 stories above the main cafeteria and right around the corner of the lied center where the patients stay as outpatients as well as the clinic and chemo facility , isn’t it?
Any guarantees?
You know that secret plan that FNC exposed a few weeks ago about the obama administration’s plans for
bringing non-citizens infected with Ebola to the U.S. and that the Obama administration denied was true?
Guess what? It was true!
who is paying for the flight?
I don’t know, but what does that have to do with anything?
Either it is a super isolation unit built at the hospital and with specially trained personnel, or it isn’t. Candy stripers are not going to be dragging it around to the rest of the hospital.
Although they have 10 beds they can only accomodate 2 patients due to the equipment.
LOL, how many patients is this guy?
Don’t you think it is time to drop the childishness and quit posting nonsense?
In the case of the Christian missionaries that so many were so angry at, their organization paid for it, with this guy and the others, I don’t know.
I had understood that the standard for declaring a country ‘ebola free’ was to wait six weeks after an active case—not the three weeks that applies to an individual.
Until this week, that is, when the US was trumpeted as ebola free as soon as the NYC doctor was sent home.
I must rise and speak in defense of leprosy, or at least what we now refer to as leprosy (aka Hansen's disease.) It's not a disease of filth. It requires long term close exposure AND losing the genetic lottery (by being one of the about 3% genetically susceptible) to acquire it, NOT poor hygene. I speak as one who has diagnosed, treated and cured leprosy. Not to detract from your general point, but don't tar the lepers with this.
Here I always thought that Hansen’s disease had to do with filth. Thanks for enlightening me.
Interesting. That hearing yesterday made my blood boil. These people in high Govt. positions are unbelievable. They all just back slap, grease each others skids, move from position-to-position or back and forth between being on some board to Govt. and they have the nerve, while being highly paid and pensioned, to call themselves “public servants”. They ceased being public servants when they enriched themselves well above the private sector.
...”The hospital has a separate biocontainment unit - why would any other patients be at risk?”....
Why? Because we’ve already seen the medical “staff” isn’t exactly reliable with their decisions no matter how contained the area they work might be.. If I had a family member in that hospital I’d be making other arrangements.
When did we see that with these 4 special units medical staff?
When have we seen that from staff at the Nebrasca biocontainment facility?
Did you see the recent story on leprosy in an Ohio prison?
No sign that leprosy at Ohio prison has spread: officials

I don’t know why we can’t treat foreign Ebola patients in a Army field hospital or Hospital ship in stricken countries?
Well, at least Obola and the gubermint is prepared this time in case this “JV” disease level 4 Biohazard makes its way into our population.
*: CDC, DHS have ordered a Million+ Hazmat suits, corresponding Quarantine Exec order is in place, and FEMA camp cot beds await...
Ebola panic news coverage would sure help take attention off of WH Amnesty plans.
