cool coincidence ...my dad too.. was a professional.

the collection of cameras nest to his darkroom was a wonder to behold.

there are still a lot of people who use the large format film cameras even given the price of silver...there days.

I laid off making photographs for well over thirty years before diving back into it about a dozen years ago.

No...I don’t recall the Airshow. It is very probable that all happened the same week though. It just makes sense.

However, YEARS later, I got buzzed by two Blue Angels as I was driving on Rt 128 near Hanscom!

That was one of those days I DIDN’T have my camera!

I was cleaning out my Mom’s basement last year and i came across my old enlarger. It was a Vivitar and weighed a ton. I could still smell the developer in the room. You never forget that smell!

Priced for masochists. I have seen Rothko's work in person and and when it comes to 2-dimensional art, I'm quite open minded. But I have never understood why anyone would pay so much for his crap, and never will.

It's worth noting that Rothko committed suicide. I think his "art" reflects its general usefulness to mankind. It's hopeless.
