Yes, Iapetus does have some interesting, odd features. I think it is Phobos that is supposed to be “the odd one” out of Mars’ two moons.

People really have little clue how far away the Moon is. At best, that was glint off of something in low orbit. The distances covered across that field of view by the "object" would have to be almost 10 times faster than our astounding LRO, in lunar orbit since 2009.

In short... it's poppycock.

It is a UFO.

Its a flying object that I cannot identify.

Doesn’t mean its from aliens, but literally it is a UFO.

I saw some sort of wave covering the surface, starting at the lower part. Was that what we were supposed to see?

Richard Hoagland has some interesting stuff on his site:

However he jumps to some pretty crazy conclusions and some of his stuff looks like he is pulling data out of the air, but the stuff that does stick out (about 20-50% of it) is fascinating.

So with all of the supposed advanced technology that extraterrestrials have in their quiver, supporting the UFO believer’s theories of just how Neanderthal-ish we humans are, why are UFO’s always associated with lights when we stupid humans have night vision?

Then again, why does an interstellar craft need with lights when there is nothing to see in the first place. While they are zinging at whatever speed it took to get here, if their lights were to illuminate something in their path, it is already too late for any visual sighting to avoid a collision with it.
