I know baseball doesn't occupy the same level of pre-eminence that it may have had fifty years ago, but it is the championship, and it still a great game. Royals up 3-0 in the sixth. Great defense all around.

IF he buts the runner over and comes back out to pitch who knows. The lack of DH is the genius of baseball.

I told you what plan B was ... pull him real early after 3 inn. with 5=0 lead ... and come back in game 3.
or pull him after 4 or 5 inn., then you can come back in game 4 today ...but he went 109 pitches in a 7-1 victory? ... I guess no lead is safe in that KC ballpark with that lineup full of sluggers and a weak SF bullpen. SO he had to go 109 pitches >>>>>>>???? Is that it?

southern teams veto it because they lose attendance if their home games are skewed toward March ... nobody wants a disproportionate number of March games.

I had switched to SNF for a minute and had just flipped back to the Series and heard them talking about it. A terrible shock after watching him this year in STL.

over 6 days 22nd to the 28th, Holland & Casilla will have thrown a total of 11 pitches between them.
Especially Casilla under-utilized.
The closer thing is wrong in the postseason with all the off days. There is a better way.
