CNNs Carol Costello apologized on Thursday for joking about a police recording of Bristol Palin.
"Over the past few days I have been roundly criticized for joking about a brawl involving the Palin family. In retrospect, I deserve such criticism and would like to apologize," Costello said in a statement to POLITICO.
On Wednesday, before playing a tape in which Bristol Palin describes an alleged altercation at a party in Wasilla, Alaska, Costello said, This is quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio weve ever come across. Well, come across in a long time anyway.
In the tape, Palin is heard describing what happened to her after she confronted someone she accused of pushing her sister.
So we were in a limo. I walk back up. Did you push my sister? And some guy gets up, pushes me down on the grass, drags me across the grass....

Bristol Palin and outstanding President? The reason why I stand by statement is that Bristol Palin has learned from the school of hard knocks and emerged as a fine young lady. She commands in excess of $30,000 for her speeches on behalf of abstinence education and truly has turned her life around.
She's unabashedly pro-life and like her mother is also pro-God and pro-gun. Frankly, I think it's high time America has leadership of the common sense type without a lot of so-called "higher education" from leftist universities. That worked out pretty well with Abraham Lincoln didn't it?

Exactly what are Sarah Palins views that you call polarizing?

Is there an ongoing contest between CNN and MSNBC to see which has the stupidest broads in Talk Media? I use the word “broads” because Alex Smith and Costello are not “women”, a word used to show respect.
Is there a media training school for these media ignoramuses or do they come by it naturally?

A “statement” is not an apology. It’s @ss-cover.

"Imagine for a second the outrage that would happen if Chelsea Clinton had gotten pushed by some guy. Had she tried to defend herself, the liberal media wouldve held her up as some feminist hero," [Bristol]Palin wrote.

I said I was a Sarah Palin fan and I agree with most of her positions and views; However, the media and the left have been relentless in trying to create controversies with everything they say or do. Unfortunately, thanks to the media, most of the left have a visceral hatred towards the Palins. That is the polarization I am referring to. It is unfortunate, but this is why it is best to walk away, or remove yourself from the situation long before it escalates.

See post #25 and the link to Bristol Palin's blog. Now tell me that's not Presidential. The daughter is just like her mother, outspoken in defense of Christian Conservatism. Sure, I don't like political dynasties like the Kommie KKKennedy Klan but the Palins are a different matter entirely since they are resolutely pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-military, pro-gun and anti-sodomy.
And word has it that Sarah Palin is quite possibly a FReeper! If that's so, I'm sure that beautiful daughter Bristol is also one of us, too!

wow, Bristol Palin and outstanding President? I am a Sarah Palin fan; however, I don't think her kids have done her any favors. I think Bristol and Willow are still immature and should not be putting themselves in a situation such as this.
When you and your parents are high profile and as polarizing as they are; just walk away. Plus, the Police report I read did not exactly paint Bristol, and Willow for that matter, as remarkable young ladies.
Just my opinion....
They're not your cup o'tea.
And mine may be shaped differently than yours.

The character Katniss Everdeen in the movie versions of The Hunger Games acts and looks more like the normal persona of Bristol Palin than she does Jennifer Lawrence, a good actress nothing like Katniss Everdeen but made up to look like Bristol Palin in that movie series.

CNN got an email from me asking them to “do the right thing”( a favorite Obama phrase) and fire Carol Costello

so you think Bristol Palin, an early 20’s single mother with a propensity to get publicly intoxicated, and with no education to speak of, is Presidential material. Okay. You go with that. By the way, you are the best troll EVER. :)
To: re_nortex
I agree with you. Bristol is presidential material. We are lucky to have the Palin family in this hour of crisis.

The fact that you cannot entertain the idea that in 15 years, BP may very well be qualified to hold that office, is one reason we are given GHW Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, McCain, and Romney to vote for.
A few of us on FR are not content with what choices we have been offered and are dissatisfied with GOP in-box thinking.

Thank you for the Ping Publius! Ping to Sarah's Robust List!
If you were to send that tape to Abbot and Costello you would have gotten a more objective answer.
