"Operation Choke Point Still Choking"
It's a Congressman fighting the FDIC and DOJ's operation designed to strangle legitimate businesses, an economist exposing FBI reporting gone bad, a new shooting book, a new kind of carry holster, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Operation Choke Point, wherein the FDIC and DOJ strong arms financial institutions to choking funding lines for businesses they don't like, (including guns and ammunition), was discovered months ago, and the operation is still affecting businesses. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (3rd District of Missouri), has released an email address for those businesses to share their story, and he visits with Tom Sunday to discuss why it's so important to continue to apply pressure to said government agencies to abandon the operation and allow business owners to operate without the intrusion. The email address is chokepointstory@mail.house.gov. Read more about the efforts at http://luetkemeyer.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=397825.
John Lott, Founder and President of the Crime Prevention Research Center, is also an economist, an author, and a frequent guest on Gun Talk. He stops by today to address the latest FBI report on mass shootings, and more importantly, the "embarrassingly huge errors in what they have done -- including cases that don't belong and possibly more importantly missing cases that clearly should be included, (that) both work to bias their findings towards what they want to show". Read more here: http://nypost.com/2014/10/12/the-fbis-bogus- report-on-mass-shootings/, and find out more about Lott at http://crimepreventionresearchcenter.org/ and http://johnrlott.blogspot.com/.
Also on this Sunday, Top Shot Season 4 winner Chris Cheng drops in to talk about his new book, Shoot to Win. He is also hosting a giveaway over the next few weeks to promote his book on his Facebook page at http://Facebook.Com/TopShotChris. Says Cheng, "Shoot to Win is for everyone who wants to learn beginning marksmanship or improve their skills at the range with their friends. I offer the tactics - like stress management and breathing exercises - that led me to win Top Shot against all odds as the underdog." Purchase the book here: http://amzn.to/1zdX4DW, and find out more about Cheng at http://TopShotChris.Com.
