HH: If he said I will not interfere with the guidance you give, we need someone to rally the country around being calm and appropriately prepared, you really, youd say no to the president of the United States? BC: Yes. Absolutely. HH: Im shocked.
Shocked? I assume Hugh is being very sarcastic?

Points out a basic fact of bad management --
Good management:
You find Subject Matter Experts, you let them say and do what they think is best. That's why you chose them. If they screw up, the Leader should take the hit and say, "I chose the wrong guy: that's my fault."
Bad Management:
Obama knows everything. He just chooses people who say what he wants to be said. The Subject Matter Experts? Meh! What can they really add to any discussion??? A bunch of "Yes Men" will do fine, thank you very much.

What about the people that just plain die without treatment and their bodies are simply found? Couldn’t some of them have died of ebola?

I could not take the job either even if I was qualified. It is a fool’s errand. The power comes from the top and so does the resistance to success. Obola does not want this Ebola response to succeed. He hates us but not nearly so much as I hate him but I am powerless to act on that hatred. He is not powerless. The 50% who are desperate, entitled, selfish, lazy, ignorant, stupid, dishonorable, gullible and otherwise foolish gave him that power to destroy us and them.

Dr Carson surely has more credibility on this topic than does Obola. For that matter he has more credibility on just about *every* subject.Except, perhaps, the works of Saul Alinsky.

...if youre not a passport-holding U.S. citizen, and you are a resident of the hot zone, we should not allow you in until youve been 21 days outside of that hot zone somewhere else, because it reduces our marginal risk of an additional case. Thats just common sense to me. Am I right?
BC: Youre exactly right. I mean, you dont even have to be a medical expert to recognize that. I mean, thats such basic knowledge. And you know, many of the African countries have shut off their borders to people coming from the infected areas. This is what I find appalling. This is not specialist knowledge. Isolating the area of infection has been common practice since the 13th century. It is not racist, the Africans are doing it to themselves. It is not xenophobic. It is common knowledge.
It takes a special type of stubborn, insular, blindered, politically-obsessed arrogance to state, as the administration has, that they know better, and that the only important thing in all of this is to look good and blame other people. That appears to be this administration's core competency and its only one.
