The Obama administration said Thursday its relying on the news media to help tamp down public anxiety over Ebola.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters the president is not considering giving a prime-time address to the nation about the virus. Instead, other administration officials such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Thomas Frieden will continue speaking to the American people.

Oh well. If Obama did give a speech to the country about Ebola, no one would believe anything he said, anyway. Might as well keep sending Bagdad Bob Frieden out in front of the cameras and media.
Agreed.
But it is also true that God gives us the governments we deserve, and when a Nation turns from God ... bad stuff happens.
We'll continue to pray for our government leaders (that they are converted and change; or that they get replaced; or that God restrains them), but I cannot disagree with your comments.
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
So much for a fireside chat with the leader of the country to calm fears.
Stay calm. There is no Ebola.
I am of a similar mind, but more like they are going to be forced into a position to either admit they are wrong, or that will expose their never ending fraud to some portion of their LIV voting base that might finally get a clue.

Point is people, absolutely NOBODY is in panic yet. The idea is to make it seem as though we are.
Shemp Smith burns me up on this. What a total POS ass he is. I do not see panic and most of you do not either. The panic is created artificially by Obama and the media.
People have the right to question the way this is being handled. We are being made to feel foolish by questioning the foolishment at the top.
That is not panic, it is common sense.
Having the CDC lead this is like having government run healthcare - a disaster.
The media should, in an honest world, neither calm the public nor promote panic. They should present the facts honestly. In the case of Ebola, neither panic nor calm is warranted. We need awareness and preparedness, now more than ever. An artificial complacency among those exposed or potentially exposed could lead to increased spread of the disease.
Stop letting Ebola in and we will calm right down.
And I cannot disagree with yours.
These are the fools we elected, and these are the fools we deserve.
God help us.
Shepard Smith is doing his best!
Pretty obvious by the lack of coverage today. And the use of the word “hysterical”.
This reminds me of Kevin Bacon in the movie Animal House.
