Health care workers at the Dallas, Texas hospital where a nurse contracted Ebola while treating U.S. 'patient zero' Thomas Eric Duncan say there were 'no protocols' in place to deal with an outbreak.
Nurses say 'the guidelines were constantly changing' at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, and that when Duncan was first admitted, protective gear left their necks exposed.
These testimonies, told to representatives of the ... say protective gear left their necks exposed when Thomas Duncan was first admitted, union president reveals
National Nurses United union, directly contradict CDC Director Thomas Frieden's assertion that a 'breach in protocol' led 26-year-old nurse Nina Pham to become infected.

Here are the current PPE (personal protective equipment) guidelines for healthcare providers from the CDC:

We are in a position of being reactive instead of proactive. That never ends well.
Government is the problem. -- President Ronald Reagan
Unions and government alike are the problem.
I can’t help noticing that we only manage to get real reporting from England.
If she survives she’ll never have to work another day in her life.
I think it's called "Leading from Behind'"
Let the lefties fight each other.
The CDC tried to scapegoat the nurse victim and this is counter-spin.
I actually agree with the nurses on this. Ebola is a Level 4 Biosafety hazard and there are protocols required when studying it over at the CDC. Deal with it in hospitals with the same precautions. One pair of gloves, exposed hair, no buddy system? Not enough.
I get more info from England so I keep going there for American news.
The MSM here is under the thumb of leftists. Half of them are married to administration members. Total spin on CNN, CBS, ABC, and NBC. Even Fox is middle of the road politically.
Defund the CDC! Abolish unions!
Excellent point FRiend! I didn't think of it in those terms. Conservatives win when union goons and the government seek to destroy each other.
Which English sites do you use for news on this?
That’s not what CDC spokesman Baghdad Bob says.
Public workers union versus a federal agency=
A spraying skunk fighting a rabid ferret.
Megan Kelly was not at her best in this interview, to put it kindly. She seemed unable to nail Friedan on his continual spinning for the nonsense verbiage flung at us like monkey-poo directed from the top of this administration.
I generally am not an O’Reilly fan, but he would have pinned this spinner to the wall. (Or so I hope)
Kelly failed, in my humble opinion. Sometimes I wonder if this is all programmed
ahead of time for our consumption, because they think we are dumb-f@ck fools out here in fly-over land.
That said, Ebola isn’t presently as big a threat as other stuff going on, like the economic mess we face, or Islam, but it does serve as a shiny distraction, or so they think.
The problem they have yet to comprehend is that we are smarter than they think, and our trust in .gov is increasingly lost by this debacle. For that alone, Friedan should get the “hook”, for he isn’t effective in building confidence in “big-government” keeping us safe from everything that could go south in a NY minute.
It is the CDC's fault that hazmat suits were not implemented in the center of the hot zone.
It is their fault.
Whose idea was it to use paper, cotton, and one thin layer of latex?
The outer perimeter (the guys cleaning the apartments) used better protection, and they were not following any CDC protocol.
Agree, she was a bit timid in the interview, attempting to give respect because of his job.
I think BOR would have been obnoxious or did what he did in the Obama interviews and switched over to nice guy / fawning mode. He can’t seem to find a middle ground.
We have a criminal in the Oval Office.
friedman needs to be fired for’lying to the american public. then tarrred and feathered, literally. then obama, the same.
