An email sent out to the Alcon staff by its CEO reportedly said that the ebola nurses boyfriend was admitted into hospital with Ebola-like symptoms.
Gotnews.com has received word from two different Alcon employees, both of whom asked not to be identified.
Alcons U.S. headquarters are in Fort Worth, Texas. It is an opthomological pharmaceutical company....

The above is a lengthy article. Several paragraphs down, it references Alcon Laboratories confirming that an Alcon employee is the 2nd patient placed in isolation. That person is also being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He is identified as Ms Pharm’s boyfriend.
The article also gives more of the content of the Alcon email to its employees.
Not confirmed boyfriend has Ebola symptoms; only on Alcon.i have doubts....
That wasn’t for you.. just the folks who post big graphics.
uh-oh
.....and when they're not hating Twitter, they're screaming at little kids playing on their lawn.
........it!
I guess this means that we get to see Alcon’s PR department in action.
It can be spread through sex, even up to 90 days after a man is over ebola and survives.
“For the record, “Cold Heat” is one of those who denies that keeping visitors from Ebola ravaged countries out of the USA will help matters.”
For the record......
That was not the opinion I was trying to express. It was the opinions of others who mischaracterized what I said that led to your conclusion.
What I said was that it was short sighted to ban flights.
I then expounded on that by showing those interested in that angle that the flights did not originate from any of the three infected countries, and that all you needed to do was to stop issuing visas to those from the area infected or the whole of Africa, if you desired to.
As a refutation to what I said about flight originations, someone posted some flight data showing a daily flight from what they represented as being Liberia. I countered that by showing that the flight originated in Ghana. Some distance from Liberia but that is not important. All you need to do is to control the Visas.
Lastly, in terms of immediacy, while passport and visa controls should be automatic and easily done, the hard thing that must be done is to contain the spread to West Africa.
The reasons are obvious to anyone with the ability to project forward the effects of a uncontrolled Ebola outbreak over time.
Not even going to use the word “If”.
WHEN the virus jumps to some central American crap hole, it will come into the US, Visa’s or no Visa’s and we will not be able to stop it. We have far too much border and coastline to protect. As cases mount in number, our medical facilities will be quickly overwhelmed.
So if it appears to you that I am WITH ANYONE on this, You can hold that thought for as long as you wish, because it’s no matter to me. My opinions are my own. My analysis’s based on no CDC or government recommendations.
So stick it......as they say...
Just read it a bit ago on Twitter. Very disconcerting. An Alcon connection or exposure here could be devastating. This stuff is about to get real. Looking at pictures of west Africans battling this disease compared to those flimsy things the CDC advised our own healthcare workers to don....criminal!!
Many in third world countries are making a better attempt at control than we are here in US! Liberal hubris!
Logic just does not support your projection. Let me put it in simple terms.
You spill 1 cup of sugar on the floor. It is a mess. Answer to spill is to clean it up.... Not spill 1000 more cups of sugar on the floor.
Your cup logic does not seem to comport with what I said.
Perhaps you can explain it in English without the analogy. I am wondering how all the extra cups of sugar are somehow related to what I said.
Keep them flights from infected countries comin'!!!! There can be only ONE reason for such INSANITY and that's to kill Americans!
Agree, it doesn’t, if your explanation of your earlier posts is right. My analogy is meant to show the stupidity of anyone who says we should not stop the flights and visas from these countries or any country that threatens us with epidemics or terrorism. Even Rick Perry has jumped on that failed logic. It sickens me. Wait for it...the same rinos that are be-holding to the Chamber of Crony Capitalists..will be lock in step with the liberals that want open borders. We have a serious problem here.
I would be more inclined to believe that greed and crazy environmental crazies that want to ‘cull the whole human herd’ is behind his inaction and complicity. Not going to play the white race card...sorry.
She’s never heard of Campbell’s? What an elitist entitled biotch.
I view anything Perry says or does with jaundiced eyes or ears anymore, until I learned of the 10K Liberians in DFW. Are there any other big clusters of them in the US? Don’t know.
Since zero pied-pipered them in in August
On August 15, 2014 the Obama Administration sneakingly expedited visas from the Ebola effected countries.

It seems like they’re all going to run to Dallas. May as well neutralize them in one place instead of all over the country. Does Dallas deserve this? No. Is Dallas now in the best position to end this outbreak? Yes.
Would be nice if they were all flying to family in Bethesda, but they’re not... they’re coming here.
I say Texas Ranger Up and beat this disease down and be wiser as a consequence. zero has it out for Texas. FUBO
This is what I said...cut and pasted..
” All you need to do is to control the Visas.”
The reasoning behind the uselessness of controlling the flights, is largely due to the fact that there are no direct commercial flights from either of the three infected countries.
After looking into this many weeks ago, I was quite surprised to discover that travelers from these infected areas have to fly to European destinations and then catch a connecting flight in one of about three potential cities, one of them being Brussels, which is the route the Liberian guy in Dallas took.
These flights contain all sorts of people, from all over.
To eliminate the travelers from the affected areas, and control the ingress into the US, it is not necessary to stop the secondary flights from Europe or wherever.
All you need to do is stop the visa’s they use to get in, or you can even do it from a passport level, for Americans wanting to get back from the area infected, if you needed to.
“Seems early for either to be showing symptoms.”
Symptoms can show within a few days to 21 days of getting it. 10 days is when most people first show symptoms. If she treated Duncan on the 27th, it is now 15 to 16 days. So rather late. I’m not sure that’s a good thing if it has to do with the strain of Ebola (it is probably more to do with the person?)
But if it is the strain, I can see infected people getting to day 16 and saying “Oh - I don’t have it - and I need to go to the store” and break their quarantine. And then show symptoms later that day.
