All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

I’m glad you like the kittens, and I hope you feel better soon!
It might.
Especially if it broke a windshield... ;-)
Maybe.
But is is an oddity that horribleHarry has of late suffered some interesting 'accidents'...
Wonder when all his hit points will be used up...
Get better soon, Gefn.
There is a lot of it about at the moment.
Sleep well, see you soon. :)
No Windshields where broken thankfully.
But it did clear a road to get there, that must count. :)
On another note, and more to be mourned than Mario Cuomo, Elly May Clampett has died...
Just got the latest on Harry Reid. He has called all his cronies and told them he has survived the a$$-whoopin’ his home gym equipment tried to give him. He has a “motorcade” of two cars that tail the SUV he rides in to within 5’ depending on the speed.
He’s heading back to DC tomorrow, and probably in his private jet, and will survive to make our lives miserable for the next five years. I figure by the time he turns 80, he will be so senile he will be powerless.
I don’t wish him any bad luck but I hope he dies with a .........
Now THAT death I can mourn. Elly May was in her mid thirties when she was on that show, and I loved to see her work everyone around her. The other deaths are really not worth mention...except by way of saying we’ve rid the world of more vermin...
Donna Douglas 82. RIP.

Good morning, everyone. Here are an awful lot of fluffy orange kittens. The site says that the photography took the pictures as advertising for her local Humane Society branch.
Morning,
That Kittie is looking up at you.
As if someone is dangling food or a toy just overhead.
Floofy, fluffy babies! Look at their little pink noses!
I’m in Love.
P.S. wonderful tagline. I’m a monthly donor, too.
Thank you Moose. I woke up in the middle of the night and read some here. Enjoyed your post on Rio’s Christ the Reedemer statue. Never knew it was hollow inside or it had a heart inside,
Going back to sleep. :)
I think I will dream of kittehs.
Sleep bores the bugs to death so they leave faster.
Sleep well.
:)
And the kittehs can pounce on the bugs.
My kittiehs use to love to pounce on bugs that would crawl in through open screens in the summer time.
Was just getting my head around the “Middle of the night”, but of course it was . :)
Have been there twice and never twiged on to it being hollow. But it is a special place to visit.
We like to entertain ourselves with the quaint notion that our "Habitats", including the Flying Castle of course, constitute a tiny world, with its own time zones, but only enough room for three of them.
Accordingly, if you wake up in the middle of the night, and are indisposed to sleep, a quick tube ride will bring you to an adjacent Habitat, where it is the middle of the day.
By this process, we don't have "morning people" and "night people". We just have mobile people, and cafes and restaurants to serve them whatever they fancy.
Coffee, for me, please. Hold the adulterants.
In that case, I propose Tea and Stickies on the Lawn. :)

Checking in. Just came home to finish the bills and I’m headed out again.
Sparkle actually let me have some facetime with her on the bed, so that’s good. Her coat is growing, as well as being soft and shiny, so I will soon use a brush on her. I hope she likes it. I also picked up some petroleum jelly, so hopefully, it will help her feel better. She finally began to clean herself last week, and I feel so good about that!
She really is a unique kitteh!
And I’m outta here for a bit!
