All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

Thank you, it’s always an achievement to make people *groan*.
That was so punny it was disgusting! LOL! I felt like slapping myself because I actually laughed!
Heh, gotcha!
I just went into the bedroom and PA was on the bed. PROGRESS! I turned on the mattress pad, so I’m sure when I get back in there, or at some time tonight, she will be sleeping with me. :o])
Oh, that’s good news! I figured that, being such a young cat, she’d come out of hiding pretty quickly. It’s not as if you have a horde of young boys in there!
Don’t forget your pad has a timer. When you go to bed for keeps tonight, you might want to turn it off and back on to reset the timer.
I was mostly concerned about the amount of time she spent in the cage. I was prepared to wait for three or four days because I didn’t know how traumatized she would be with such a drastic change.
I’m concerned about when I turn on the nebulizer for the first time...
This is good news, seeing her on the bed! YAY! I will go to bed soon...she has found the closet, so it is one more safe place for her. I will keep her in the bedroom one more day, just to let her get adjusted. When I open the door, it will bring on an entirely new sensory overload.
She also used one of the bedside rugs for a scratching post, which is OK...not expensive and perfect for claws.
I usually do that when I put the book down and decide to sleep, as the timer is only 10 hours. Besides....I get cold if it goes off, and that wakes me up. If she wants to sleep on the bed, I can keep resetting the timers.
:o])
Funny, I can't type properly when I'm lying in bed.
That’s funny ... Bill and Tom can.
I told you she would do that by evening.
Huzzah!
Some people need music, too. I find it a distraction.
I don’t listen to music nearly as much as I used to, except in the car. I play lectures or recorded books when I’m cooking or cleaning. Right now I’m listening to a book about Edward Curtis, the photographer who took pictures of American Indians around the turn of the (20th) century.
This print of his photo of Geronimo is listed for sale at $22,000. Google showed some others for sale for less, probably not in as good condition.

Mrs. NoC got word at 10:30pm yesterday that her brother had died a month ago, apparently out on Long Island somewhere. We had not heard from him for eight or so years even though we still have the same phone number he had for us. Details are scant as you could imagine. And as usual, it’s a long story...
Now about that weather...
I’m sorry for your loss.
Stay warm.
That book sounds good.
I listen to recorded books all the time. Right now I’ve been listening to Christopher Buckley novels, I really like his wit.
