All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

Home schooling for cats is focused on food.
LOL! For humans, too.
Happy leftovers, everyone.
No leftovers. Except for pie, which will be given away this morning.
I watched “Blue Bloods” most of the day, though when Busdaddy was here, we watched football. I wasn’t too interested in the teams, so it wasn’t very high on my list of priorities.
However, now I’m craving a turkey sandwich.
A kittah Hi, Yi, Yi, Yi!
Morning, y’all. Back from the gym, and I plan to spend the next several hours cleaning.
Tonight we are having spaghetti.
Good idea. Were they over easy for Thanksgiving, or well-done?
Serving kids is messier than spaghetti. Or turkey, for that matter. (Did you fry them, slow cook, or broil? Always difficult to choose, and you need a much bigger pot for kids.)
lol
Afternoon. I have mopped the floors. Now I’m waiting for them to dry so I can move the chairs back.
I have fried a potato and took a chicken breast out to thaw, and will wait for a while before I try to eat something.
Wishing a had a turkey sandwich...
I found a box of mango “popsicles” at the clubhouse with “FREE” written on the door of the fridge. I just tried one...60 calories at WW and 2 points. I liked the one I ate! Only 23 more to go!
It satisfies my sweet tooth and the fruit requirements!
Busdaddy sent me a text a little after 0700, saying he couldn’t make it home. He had gone for a walk and went too far. By the time I found him he was still over a mile from home. I told him to stay home the rest of the day.
But will he listen?
There is a woman here who is selling her car, and though it is an ungodly green, it would be suitable for Busdaddy to use for work and errands, while the diesel fuel is still around $4.00 a gallon. It cost him $180 to fill the tank last time. Anyway, he has her number, so I hope he calls her. The price is good...$2300, and it’s a 2001. It looks like it has been taken care of very well, and he may be able to get her to come down on the price.
Diesel is almost $4/gal here, too, while regular unleaded is #$2.65.
Congratulations on the mango pops!
. . .which reminds me that my youngest offspring unit, San, spoke thusly on Wednesday evening: "You dont have to push those thingies manually by hand with your digits out of the way."
At least that's what I wrote down.
We had a joyful, all-three-on-board, Thanksgiving Eve, and I took notes because I miss the whole one-ness, kids-at-home-ness, we-live-in-a-sitcom-ness so much. I assume there was an Observer Effect (or the afternoon and evening were Heisenberged or Kennarded); however, I now have annotated reference material.
With your permission, I'd enjoy indulging myself on the UT, at least a smidge.
I hope each of you and your and family and friends had a joyous and heart-warm Thanksgiving, and that none of you had to push any thingies, manually, by hand, with your digits, out of the way.
We’re looking at $2.89 in most places, but I think the prices will come down next week.
It’s really pretty out, but I’m thinking it won’t last. The barometer is telling me some rain is coming. So is my neck.
Busdaddy just called. He is feeling better and said it felt like a low-blood sugar episode and when he described it, I knew exactly what it was...hypoglycemia. I told him to start carrying hard candy on his walks. Dang...worry me.
{{HUGS}} Scoutmaster but cannot give my permission. I have none to give because someone/something stole my permission. Truth is ... Never had any anyways. Happy Thanksgiving, Scoutmaster, to you and yours!
I had a pretty good Thanksgiving, for spending it mostly alone and on a diet!
It was a day of true thanksgiving, as I have so many FRiends to be thankful for, and for being below the poverty level, I still have a lot to be grateful for. I have a roof over my head, a vehicle that runs, my bills have been paid and the Lord is on my side. I can’t ask for any more than this, when so many other people have so much less.
“$2.89”
Cheapskates.....
We still have the more expensive, and therefore better $9.11 a gallon Diesel.
It has come down from $11.15, they must have reduced the quality somehow.....
Cheap whiskey costs less.
For permissions you better see the management....
bless you
You seem to have a good attitude!
Next Thanksgiving am going to ask permission, from the Thanksgiving dinner turkey, to cut its head off. Am going to remember the axe and goggles too. Going to wear a dirty shirt and pants too. This cleaning the dinner turkey in a tux is for losers. Am not going to shave next year either. Have to bookmark that cooking thread you pinged me to. Might find an idea or two for cooking at Christmas as well as a few to remember.
