That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.

I had soup earlier today, and think I’m done eating, except for what I have to eat with my evening pills. And I will do that a lot later than now, though I sure am tempted! LOL!
Maybe my new batch of pills will be delivered tomorrow. I just checked but the order hasn’t been tracked, though it HAS been shipped. :o]!
Bad news: Santana the dragon has died, from old age and hard living, peacefully lying under his heat lamp. Bill is going to bury him, *gripe, grouch*.
Took care of the sticky situation (consisting mostly of home made raspberry preserves) and now I have a fur covered comforter perched on my lap.
And mouse arm...
The wind is howling outside and due to the really fantastic insulation in this olde farm house, I have a draft on the back of my neck. The fur covered comforter doesn't want to drape across the back of my neck, she thinks my arm needs comforting...
There was a brief delay because Bill does not know what a shovel looks like. How has he survived this long?

Bill, with an expressive eye roll, says, “This is not the first time this has happened,” although how someone who doesn’t recognize a spade could have more than one semivivisepulture experience is beyond me.
For real, or hoping for a government burial detail if he plead ignorance? I tried that once when asked/told to get the hoe and weed the garden.

What’s the average life span of a dragon? And I don’t know if it means anything or not, but I ran across his picture today....
See update - he was just having a nap. Probably a reaction to the time change and sudden colder temperature.
Some people say they live up to 14 years, but 7 to 10 is more common. Santana is about 8, but he had health problems as a small reptile.
Raspberry preserves? You didn’t save any for me? You KNOW how I love homemade raspberry preserves!!! Right up there with homemade apricot/pineapple preserves...
So Dragon was not dead, just practicing excessive torpidity...

..of course, when the next time comes, he'll find one of these instead.
I knew what a spade was when I was five...it was my “shovel” when I helped my dad in the garden. (Nearly two acres.)
Poor Bill. Didn’t he ever go to camp when he was in Scouting?

He’s often been to camp, but if he ever shoveled, it was with anything like the spade in our garage. *sigh*
Jeez...he better move in with someone who knows how to fix things, assemble things, and make things grow, or he will be a bearded wonder forever in his mom’s basement.

There's still some left. The preserves that is. The raspberries have long since vanished until next year..
Probably take a couple more days to knock off this pint if you can figure out how to teleport that 'most of the continent away' distance before then.
And if you manage that we will provide you with a special gift of a black kittie. ;-) (Note: Kitties don't go well with raspberry preserves, it messes with their fur.)
Got handed a bag containing the few bagels that remained after church this morning. Figured I'd cut one in half, toast the halves, slather it with real butter, slop some raspberry goo on it and enjoy.
It was excellent.
And on another note, it doesn't seem like almost six. My cicada has lost its rhythm. But then, all of them have gone away too..
