Why?
Why would one owner of an NFL team do a stupid thing like that - never mind two?

The Steelers can relocate there. The Rooneys embrace liberalism, so they will be right at home in LA.

They might draw 35,000 paid spectators to a game. Give them a small stadium.

What has changed since the Rams and Raiders left to make LA a viable NFL market?

Raiders, Chargers, and Rams may get into a fight over who gets to move back to L.A. Chargers have the least valid reasons to move, though they are unlikely to get a new stadium in San Diego any time soon.

No they won’t. 2 or 3 will threaten and get new stadiums built, but nobody is actually moving.

Spanos family have been trying for years to get San Diego taxpayers to buy a new stadium for them...no luck. The Chargers have a good shot at going deep into the playoffs this year. If they do, and the Spanos’s then don’t get their stadium, the franchise is gone to LA, guaranteed. By the terms of their current contract, the team already can make a move when and if it wants.
Similar tactic the Padres used to get their stadium at Petco Park.

Surely, moving the Rams from St. Louis to Los Angeles is Raaaaacist...

Please.. don’t let it be the Raiders. When they moved to L.A., their fans wouldn’t shut the $%^& up about it for years. I swear, there could be riots in Oakland if they moved again.

You do know that the Rams used to play in Southern California — don’t you?

To: C19fan
The market was always viable, it was the stadium they didn’t like and nobody was willing to fix it. And nobody has managed to put together a deal for a new one.

Most likely team: the Chargers. The Los Angeles area does NOT want the Raiders given the bad experience with team between 1982 and 1994.

All 3 teams mentioned have been unsuccessful in getting new or remodeled stadiums in their current cities. All have been rumored to be thinking of moving. We will see.

Just to see CA leftists’ heads explode, I would love to see the Redskins move to LA! My apologies to any Warshington fans for the loss of their team.

2 or 3 will threaten and get new stadiums built, but nobody is actually moving.
Count on the Buffalo Bills to do exactly that. After Ralph Wilson died earlier this year, the new owners "promised" they wouldn't move the team.
A team so "successful" it hasn't been to the playoffs in 20 years - and - a team whose millionaire owner (Wilson) ran to Albany twice in the last ten years, threatening to "pull the plug" if he couldn't get some taxpayer dollars.
Albany caved twice for a total of $400 million. I guarantee the new owners will do exactly the same thing.

The Vikings were on the list of teams that might move to LA until the MN government caved in and wrote a nine figure check to Zygi.

But why would the Chargers want to trade San Diego for Los Angeles?
