Let me try this again...Until McQuerry told Paterno what he saw in the shower, Paterno did not know that Sandusky was doing little boys in 2001. If you have ANY evidence that Paterno was up to date with the Sandusky activities at that point time in 2001, please share it with everybody here on FreeRepublic. Without any evidence that Paterno knew of the Sandusky activities before he was informed of said activities by McQuerry, then you are just contributing to the slander that has been going on against the fine man that Joe Paterno was...

I'm glad you brought up the shower incident, because that to me is the most disturbing piece of evidence of all. According to the grand jury testimony, it isn't about what McQuerry told Paterno he saw. It is about what McQuerry told Paterno he heard. McQuerry arrives at the locker building at night. He testifies that he sees lights coming from the shower area and hears water running. But before he actually enters the shower area, he testified that he heard the sound of human flesh slapping together. Do you understand? Sandusky was slamming his erect penis into the anus of an eleven-year-old boy with such force that the sound could be heard around the corner above the sound of running showers. And this is what he told Joe Paterno the next day - what he heard.

And what did the "fine man" named Joe Paterno do about it? Nothing. Not a damn thing. The "fine man" Joe Paterno could have stopped Sandusky in his tracks, preventing any more children to be victimized. But instead, the "fine man" Joe Paterno chose to be an enabler for a child predator.

There is a special place in hell reserved for "fine man" such as that.

...I doubt it was a complete surprise when McQueary told him, though it’s also pretty evident that the depth of Sandusky’s perversion shocked him...after all, he testified to the grand jury that he may have heard rumors about Sandusky prior to MM’s revelation...but of course, rumors and gossip are what they are, crass and cheap...

...my real reason for thinking he suspected Sandusky was a creep was MM’s recollection of Paterno’s response...MM said Paterno’s shoulders slumped, and a look of deep sadness crossed his face...the reaction of a man whose trust in a colleague had been betrayed...
