"He was the kind of guy, that if you had a daughter, you'd want him to marry her,

So I could have stupid grandkids?

When you are in your 20s you are immortal and not subject to the laws of physics.

I know because I once was and was...

It is a blessing from God I had a Guardian Angel b/c there are several things I did that should have ended up with me dead or badly injured...

Prayers for this child and his family — even Guardian Angels can only do so much.

“He was the kind of guy, that if you had a daughter, you’d want him to marry her,”

Well, if the radar had not knocked him off his perch it might well have fried his ‘nads so he likely could not have fathered any children.

Most of us do stupid dangerous things when we are kids, and most of us get away with it. The only ones I know that didn’t do stupid dangerous things were the very timid who were afraid to take a risk.

“...was with a group of about five who climbed the mast on the ship, The Ecstasy,...”

So he was high on Ecstasy when he fell?

He was ashamed to have been surprised by a robot dish, so he committed suicide by leaping from a secure, safe platform.

Wernet was standing when a radar dish on the restricted platform started to rotate, Steve Acorn, a mentor who was with the group, told the station. The student was knocked over to the runner's track below

A mere blip on the scope of life.

Why wasn’t the ship’s radar operating 24/7 while at sea?

At his age I climbed masts to change steaming lights.

Ah, but that was back before captains perched 80 feet above the waterline on sunny days activated RADAR first thing in the morning...

Not just stupid, just disobedient. “the restricted platform”

Government schooling has created a generation of ego maniacs without the brains to think. They’re all rebels without a cause and they love “me, me, me”.
