The verdict is in: You can bend an iPhone 6 Plus. But unless you are really trying to do it, it probably will be fine.
That's the conclusion coming out of phone warranty provider and durability testerSquareTrade, which ran some basic bending "tests" this week on the iPhone 6 Plus at The Washington Post's request after reports circulated that the 5.5-inch phone is warping from the strain of being in people's pockets.
Apple itself on Thursday acknowledged acknowledged that it has received reports of the phone bending. But cases are "extremely rare." Out of the millions of phones sold, Apple said a total of nine customers contacted the company about a bent iPhone 6 Plus.

Actually, they did. One of the things the tested for was being in pockets of tight jeans. . . and repeated sitting.
Plus, they were given to employees who were singled out because they were known to be hard on their phones for extended testing in real world conditions.
No, we weren't. Those of us in the know we're telling people it did not exist. That is the case. The iPhone 4 went on to be the longest selling iphone of all. . . unchanged. . . without bumpers. See my explanation further up.
You and I agree on that. I bought the 6.
Well, they've been talking about flexible screens for a while. Me? I think I'll wait until it's intentional.
I generally try to give credit where credit is due. I try to follow the facts.
Even Obama.
Well, I’m not certain about Obama. . . But I have on occasion given him kudos when they were due, but I always check my wallet. With him, I’m always looking behind, beneath, under, inside, upside, and even psychicall, for what he’s really doing. . . and unfortunately, I usually find the ulterior motive to what looks on the surface to be good and wholesome. That also makes me sad because it confirms the sad state of Satan’s invasion of our world and the grasp he is gaining on everything.
With Obama it isn’t unreasoning hatred. . . It’s reasoned fear of what he’s capable of
Dennis, what would happen if someone who wants to make a couple three hundred thousand dollars by removing the titanium stiffener that spans that weak spot, then videos himself bending his iPhone 6 Plus and putting it on YouTube for profit. It would bend easily exactly as it is shown to bend. I a suspicious SOB when it comes to anti-Apple FUD that just isn’t backed up by other facts. So far this guy has 36 million hits, garnering him over $300,000.
Not bad for destroying a $1000 phone. . . especially when you see the video is more than a little hinky in the timeline department.
You get them for free and someone pays you to stalk these threads.
They are not Apple customers either so what is their concern?
As Bill Gates once said my software does not have bugs, you must not know how to use it.
