LOL!!!
I suspect Richard Widmark had to be “toned down,” too. He was at his best pushing old ladies in wheel chairs down the stairs.
That's just bizarre...honor a long life by supporting the death of innocents???
Liberals are really twisted.
She was great. Terrific at everything she did. I think I first saw her in Martin & Lewis picture.
Goodbye Sweet Lady!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has many stories to tell him - she claims to have been one of JFK’s girlfriends - and Tony takes an interest in her welfare. She claims that her father had promised her his share of a track he owned but that Hesh had cheated her out of her inheritance. When Hesh decides to sell the track, Tony makes sure she gets her share. The sale causes friction with Phil Leotardo, Johnny Sack’s right hand man. As for funerals, Uncle Junior has decided that going to funerals is a good way to get out his house arrest, at least for 5 hours on each occasion. And here’s the money quote: “In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to Planned Parenthood, said her publicist, Katz.” It’s the last line of the story.

Terrifying AND real...
Best line of his IMHO was in Out of the Past (1947) Kirk Douglas as a crime kingpin with some toughs tries to recruit Mitchum down in Mexico in his hotel room and Mitchum replies

I agree. Those were real men.
I have to add James Stewart. He didn’t just play a war hero in the movies. He WAS one.

Cape Fear: The great movie based on John D. MacDonald’s novel “The Executioners” — probably the only JDM novel that translated well to the big screen.
