Women in the Israeli Defense Forces are female soldiers who serve in the Israel Defense Forces. Israel is the one of only a few countries in the world (along with Norway[1] and Eritrea[2]) with a mandatory military service requirement for women.[3][4][5] Women have taken part in Israels military before and since the founding of the state in 1948,[6][7] with women comprising 33% of all IDF soldiers and 51% of its officers, in 2011,[8] fulfilling various roles within the Ground, Navy and Air Forces. The 2000 Equality amendment to the Military Service law states that “The right of women to serve in any role in the IDF is equal to the right of men.”[5] As of now, 88% to 92%[9] of all roles in the IDF are open to female candidates, while women can be found in 69% of all positions.[3]
Nuts to that. Mama’s baby comes first or theres something wrong with her.
I’m fine with the Mom breaking protocol here, and I have no doubt that she loves her child; but we shouldn’t be deploying mothers of very young children. Our enemies rightly feel a primal, visceral contempt for a country that sends young mothers into harm’s way while young men sit at home.
Thank you for saying that. Too many moms go away to war while young men sit at home. Ain’t right.
Thank you for making me smile when I wanted to rip out spleens. :)
I’m stealing that. :)
target!
As far as I could tell, ours was for the REMF installation chain of command who didn’t deploy or even work late so they could “feel” like they were part of the war. As far as I was concerned, get weapons accountability at the airfield, bus to post, then katy bar the door and don’t bother dropping the ruck...
Glad you’re not in my unit. I’m a field grade officer with 19 years. When my unit returned from Iraq after 15 months all the families bum rushed our formation, and it was awesome. Lighten up Francis. This wasn’t funeral detail. It was a formation for families in a gym.
Active Duty ping.
Well done.

“When I went in the Navy at 17 she was unable to get it back.”
So when was she able to get it back, and hopefully didn’t go back with Allstate.
