She made it worse for herself by ignoring the officers request to see her I.D., then continuing to walk away. Common sense tells most urban dwellers to show the officer the damn license or I.D. and be done with it. Now she wants to play drama queen turned victim. Her husband showed his I.D. and was not arrested.

I have a problem with the idea that I should be prepared to produce a “proper” ID everyday, everywhere I go, if a government employee demands it, except on the second Tuesday of November every other year.

Common sense tells most urban dwellers to show the officer the damn license or I.D....No it doesn't. That's a police state, not a free state.

Her husband showed his I.D. and was not arrested. There are people without ID, on whose behalf lawsuits have been issued against infringing their right to vote. I would think that the right to walk the street unmolested without ID is an even more basic right.
There are many times where my wife comes with me and doesn't bother to grab her purse with her ID, because I'm driving. Should she be afraid of being locked up if a police officer becomes curious of her identity, without any probable cause of her having done something wrong?
Sitting in a car kissing is NOT probable cause for anything.

(You don't notice it's a police state until the police come for you.)

She was under no obligation to identify herself to the JBT who was clearly in the wrong as the eventual monetary settlement will demonstrate.

Head meet desk. For a site that prides itself on the value of liberty and freedom I’m right amazed at your response.
