The Antarctic Sea Ice Extent on Sept 13 2014 may have set a new all time record (at least for the satellite era, we dont have data prior to that).

“Settled science”...what a joke.
‘They’ can’t even figure out what a healthy food pyramid looks like after 5 generations.
Of course, they’ll come up with something to discredit this...

Is that better?

Must be due to Global Warming.
Uh, no, wait - it’s due to Global Cooling.
No, make that Acid Rain.
Er, Overpopulation?
Never mind - give us a huge grant for the next twenty years and we’ll figure it all out for you.

Looks like it’s north of the southern tip of South America. If it was shifted over a little, you could walk from South America to the South Pole.

I think the conclusion that I read somewhere was that land ice is putting more fresh water into the sea, which lowers the salinity, and makes it easier to freeze.

Good point. Another hoax of the left. And what happened to the increasing hurricane threat that they warned about only a few years ago?
To: Jack Hammer
You forgot to mention the ozone hole.

They have been in the Pacific. 16 hurricanes and tropical storms thus far in 2014.

The Pacific Ocean is huge. Always has hurricanes. The Atlantic is much smaller and a better indicator for hurricane inducing conditions IMHO. And of course they continue to over hype any cane nowadays.

There is a mean...but it is only useful in mathematical discussions. Meaningless on a daily scale.

The reason for the record sea ice is because the oceans are warming. The warmer the oceans, the more the sea ice. It's settled science. Don't let the actual data fool you. Who needs data when you have consensus?
