A Little Bible Study
"Left" and "Right": A little Bible study.
Remember what Jesus said: 'Goats on the left, sheep on the right'(Matthew 25:33).
Jesus also told Peter that if he wanted to catch fish do it from the right side of the boat. They did and filled the boat with fish.
John 21:6 (NIV) He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish."
Origin of Left & Right... I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left".
By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) - "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.
It surely can't get any simpler than that.
Spelling Lesson: The last four letters in American...........I Can The last four letters in Republican........I Can The last four letters in Democrats.........Rats
End of lesson. Test to follow on November 6, 2014.
Remember, November 2014 is to be set aside as rodent removal month. Please help to achieve that goal.
Also.....”there’s what’s Right, and then there’s what’s left”.
HOLY Demonic Democrats Batman!
No Robin, they cannot be Holy, they are democrats.
Thanks.
Love this. I had to post it to my facebook page.
I like it!
Something has to be done by society to equalize the number of right handed and left handed people or right handed people should be required to be left handed. Alternatively all words that distinguish between right and left and between right and wrong should be prohibited and excised from all written or digital sources.
"Born That Way"?
"The terms "left" and "right" appeared during the French Revolution of 1789 when members of the National Assembly divided into supporters of the king to the president's right and supporters of the revolution to his left. One deputy, the Baron de Gauville explained, "We began to recognize each other: those who were loyal to religion and the king took up positions to the right of the chair so as to avoid the shouts, oaths, and indecencies that enjoyed free rein in the opposing camp." However the Right opposed the seating arrangement because they believed that deputies should support private or general interests but should not form factions or political parties. The contemporary press occasionally used the terms "left" and "right" to refer to the opposing sides."

But of course you knew that and were just trying to make a sophomoric political point. Be sure to dress if you go outside.
Good stuff!
The left is indeed sinister!
:)
I thought it was right and wrong, but the wrong were offended and it got changed to right and left. The Eccliastical version is of course much better

OMG!! Are you SERIOUS??? Who the HELL was talking about left handed people??? uh...NO ONE! geesh.
King David was a proto-Biker when he roared his Triumph into Jerusalem! :-)
Wouldn’t it be ironic if God is using the Left to chastise those who think of themselves as Right politically and otherwise?
Who knows, they might learn some respect for Him, instead of using His Scriptures as a prop in their political humor.
I’ve always thought they’re unapologetically godless.
In the old days, aristocrats were to the right of the king and peasants to the left. Also the sheep on the right obey better and are not as stubborn as the goatish left.
