Can someone who is good at maths and physics calculate how far the boat is away from the blast?
Rough estimate: 2 miles.
Right, he sure wasn’t moving out of the way too fast.
You can see the shockwave as it radiates out. Remarkable.
Trying to figure out why that container ship is there even closer to the volcano.
Rabaul is all but abandoned since 1994 because of volcanic eruptions.

This volcano has been in a constant state of eruption for decades. Its apparent in old WWII photos of the area, when Rabaul was a forward Japanese naval base.
