Instead of just sharing what knowledge you (allegedly) have on the subject, and thereby contributing something of value to the conversation, you decided to take the tack of a stuck-up, arrogant, elitist, pinched-nose, insulting, faux academician.

You had the opportunity to initiate an interesting and educational exchange about this topic, but no. You'd rather slap people around from the assumed vantage point of some imagined ivory tower.
