ARF!

A Friend of mine back east, about 25 years ago, was in an altercation that ended with his roommate killing a screwdriver wielding assailant with a bow in their apartment and then shooting his accomplice (who was firing a .357 mag up into the apartment from down in the parking lot) in the thigh from about 75 yards away.

Where I live whitetail hunting is a major sport. We are limited to shotgun, muzzleloader and bow. Some of our bow hunters boarder on Ninja level of stealth and skill. I'd hate to be going up against them in the woods with ANY weapon.

Never bring a .357 mag to an arrow fight?

A serious point to remember. “Obsolete” weapons can be every bit as lethal as more modern types, they are just in general more difficult to use.

The main reason firearms replaced archery is that anybody can pull a trigger. Hitting something with an arrow takes skill.
