The fire this time is about invisibility. Our society expects the police to keep unemployed, poorly educated African-American men out of sight and out of mind. When they suddenly take center stage, illuminated by the flash and flicker of Molotov cocktails, we feign surprise.
The proximate cause of the rioting in Ferguson, Mo., is the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was stopped, a witness has said, by a white policeman for walking in the street rather than on the sidewalk. Officer Darren Wilson shot Brown at least six times, according to a private autopsy and, reportedly, one conducted by the county medical examiner. Two of those bullets struck him in the head.
There we have the familiar narrative: Another unarmed black man unjustly killed. Brown thus joins a long, sad list — Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, etc. — that seems to have no end.
This storyline is unassailable. Anyone who thinks race is not a factor in these fatal encounters should have to cite examples of unarmed young white men being killed by trigger-happy police or self-appointed vigilantes. Names and dates, please.
But the violence in Ferguson tells of a deeper, more fundamental narrative about what African-Americans have done, and what has been done to them, in the decades since the urban riots of the 1960s — the fire last time.
Tempted to conclude that nothing has changed? Please note that the Missouri highway patrol commander, brought in to bring proportion and discipline to what had been a provocative police response, is black. So are the U.S. attorney general and the president.

Stopped her, and prevented massive traffic crash.
But now in major trouble.

Which is why many whites regrettably dismiss the violent behavior as simply "acting their race".
Only blacks can fix the problems in their own community, and it'll take a huge dose of "tough love" to do so.

Yeah so much for the Columbia education.....this had nothing to do with color. Even some highly educated blacks believe their community are purely victims. How do they benefit from keeping Blacks victims certainly they know success by hard work too?
You can blame most of this on the rats, whom the blacks vote for en masse.

Why don’t the blacks ask the rats why their communities are not allowed to have school choice through vouchers. We know why the blacks are in failing schools. The rats support the teachers unions, not the students.

The blacks need to ask the rats why they are allowing open borders and their hero zero is bringing in thousands of illegals to take US resources and jobs.

This can’t be blamed on the rats, this is totally an issue of personal responsibility. Brown had just robbed a convenience store. Was Brown wondering if white kids living in more affluent parts of town would get hassled by the police for jaywalking after robbing a convenience store?
“Brown had no police record. He had graduated from high school. He was about to enter a technical college. Given where he came from, it’s hard to do a whole lot better — and easy to do a whole lot worse.”
Yet Brown chose to easily do a whole lot worse that day by committing robbery and assault.
Wrong Mr. Robinson...we expect our police to enforce the law. Stealing merchandise, roughing up store owners, and walking in the middle of the street blocking traffic are violations of our laws.
Stealing, assaulting, jaywalking, rioting and throwing Molotov cocktails at people violate our laws and have nothing to do with one’s age, color or employment status.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?
Everybody loves to point out the percentage of blacks that voted for Obama.
It’s pretty much the same percentage that traditionally vote for Democrats.
Oh, BS. I've sat on two university admissions committees and seen more qualified white students rejected in favor of black students. Schools admit they are less strict for minority students. When I was in graduate school, a black Ph.D. candidate got a bye in virtually every class he took because he was black, despite work that was a joke.
The deck is stacked against blacks. Really? Shouldn't it be when you don't take responsibility for your own actions, like 72% illegitimate birth rate and a murder rate that is 4 times the national average. I don't see black leaders like Jackson or Sharpton, pointing the finger at the real cause...themselves. No, from Rodney King to Katrina to Ferguson, blacks have shown no respect for the law or themselves. The belief that looting and destroying a town will make things right is just stupid. And when they look around down the road and can't figure out why all the jobs disappeared from Ferguson, I hope they don't play the usual I'm-a-victim card and realize most of their problems need to be addressed from within. We've throw almost $3 trillion at your problems and you've done nothing in return. Clean up your own house...the rest of us are tired of it.
Well, if we ever get another white demoncrat to run, we can re-test your thoery.

It is funny to see these.news stories leave out the fact that Brown just finished battery on a store clerk...just finished beating the police officer almost into unconcensious state..forcing him to pull his weapon as training and duty dictate....leaving Brown, the agitator, dead.
Brown created the incidents...not the police.
