Chris Plante just reported on his radio show that The Viper (a rock radio station in St. Louis that CORRECTLY broke the autopsy news) is reporting that they have it on good authority that the shooting victim's accomplice in the strong arm robbery has now admitted that the gentle giant charged the cop and tried to take his gun, and that the cop will not be charged.
I would also bet that the good eye was watering like a faucet too.
Hearsay is not admissible to my mind.
Cops go through psychological assessments, interviews, psychiatrist examinations, lie detector tests; they're pretty solid people. How about we start with this, this individual was stopped for a reason, then displayed aggressive behavior, and now we have a sad ending. Jumping to conclusions and responding with more violence only will bring more skepticism and more violence. The media makes these into race stories and causes so much hatred and anger in society and the city in which the use of force occurs. That is the really sad part. It is the media which perpetuates racism to get a story.
How about you display your marksmanship skills immediately after suffering a crushed eye socket with a 6’4” 300lb perp on drugs bearing down on you?
To anyone who wonders why he shot six times, I too would have not wanted another struggle over the gun with a fractured eye socket. Brown got what he asked for....the charges being:
Assault on Store Clerk
Robbery
Disobeying an Officer
Assault on Officer
Felony Resisting Arrest
Attempted Murder on the Officer when trying to get his gun, and hitting him.
Fleeing scene of crime, when he first ran.
Endangering lives of citizens
OH and Jaywalking.
Now all that may not be names of crimes in MO...but some do apply. What did I miss...there is probably other charges that would be relevant.
That would leave Wilson up in the air, as some future DA might choose to bring it up again. He's in a better position (legally and PR-wise) if the grand jury sees the evidence and "no bills" him.
These situations always bring out the armchair Chuck Norrises of the world. This poster would have perfect markmanship blindfolded with both hands tied behind his back.
wow... never thought of that.
That’s like super double blind reverse psychology.
I think we’re overthinking it.
Perhaps they never pick an innocent clean cut kid getting shot or abused because.... there aren’t any?
Try to shoot straight with your eye socket crushed.
“The answer: They want the kid to be guilty so the white guy will be exonerated. This keeps the blacks stirred up.
I believe that you are giving them far too much credit for being that clever.
Six is minimal under the circumstances and if he had more rounds at his immediate disposal then he displayed good discipline by ceasing fire when the threat was ended.
Note to self:
Practice off-hand, off-eye.
If the guy just blinded me in one eye and he turns around and charges -
I’m not stopping until he’s no longer charging or the slide locks back and I have to take evasive action.
A grand jury may well choose not to indict on criminal charges, but if that happens, you can make book that the policeman will face Federal civil rights violations charges. It is the Chicago way you know.
You forgot under the influence or marijuana - misdemeanor. :-)
If it is true that the officer has an orbital blowout fracture of the eye, it would be difficult to claim a racial profiling case or any other claim of discrimination.
The answer: They want the kid to be guilty so the white guy will be exonerated. This keeps the blacks stirred up.
Great insight. In their minds “ defeat = victory” for the very reason you have stated.
Well done.
I do not know all the ins and outs of grand jury criminal cases. With the political pressure to convict the cop regardless of facts can a prosecutor shop around until they find a grand jury to issue an indictment? Can Holder declare it a federal jurisdiction and find a grand jury in say, Ferguson, fill it with street protestors and NPR hosts? Obama will not let this go. Liberals will not let this go. The black grievance industry will not let this go. They want blood and Holder is the guy who will give it to them one way or another.
My guess is Wilson had his local police issue weapon, usually a Glock...I don’t know, it hasn’t said in any of articles I read what weapon the officer carried...even when discussing that Brown and Johnson tried to take it from him in first fight, when Brown hit him injuring his eye socket supposedly.
?? Officer gun, anyone know?
