Johnny Manziel gives middle finger toward Redskins
By Chris Wesseling

Johnny Manziel's most effective throw of the night was the middle finger in the direction of the Washington Redskins sideline.
The Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback took an earful from Redskins players when he was forced out of bounds in the third quarter. As Manziel jogged away, he responded by casually flipping the bird with his right hand.

Probably the most classless thing I've seen in a long time.
I hope the Raiders kick your @ss. And I hate the Raiders.
They listed Miles Austin as starting receiver but I never saw him touch the football. Everything went to the strong side, opposite Austin. The offensive coordinator seemed to have very few plays in his quiver. Maybe it’s nature of preseason.
If the offending hand, and Digit, been held against his helmet it would have been the gesture given by The pResident many times. With no call!
Will the NFL fine or discipline in any way the Four Skins that demonstrated there feelings?
Manziel just became my favorite player. The Blackskins ran onto the field with their arms in the air as a salute to dead criminal thug Michael Brown. I wonder if their PR guy gave them a lecture?
I think he is pretty funny. I wish the Cowboys had drafted him.
The speed of the number 1 defense was a lot for him last night
He will get fined for that bone head move too.
That was a fun pre-season game last night. The sports media vultures are having a field day with Manziel. They need to lighten up. Still a couple pre-season games to go before the season even starts.
I would stop being a Cowboys fan if that had happened
Gee, I wonder why.
Let’s see, they don’t have a single defensive player that would start for another NFL team, and they have a fairly decent quarterback already, so heck, let’s just go and draft a quarterback. Apparently though they had to stop Jerry before he pulled the trigger on drafting Manziel.
This was only 11 players out of about 60 or 70 on the Redskin roster right now. Don’t hate the entire team for a few. That is so wrong.
Can’t blame the Browns team either for the gesture of one.
and our defense is very probably going to be worse than last year
Almost Every team has had to suffer embarrassment by the behavior of a few.
I’m a long-suffering Redskins fan dating back to the late 1960’s but, after this, no more.
The Redskins are dead to me.
Jeez, give it a rest.
It’s not like he beat his wife or girlfriend, or got stopped by the police with a trunk load of pot. Given the recent history of the NFL choir boys, flipping someone off is tame.
If the team's ever going to come around, they have to be more disciplined, on and off the field. I can't see how they become more disciplined if they don't do some very serious behavior modification on Manzeil.
He was a bit of a jerk this summer, too, with anctics that caught the public eye.

- Johnny Manziel has what WWII P-51 fighter pilots called “situational awareness”
- He is not a big muscular guy - but he thinks and moves and produced amazing results at the university level -
- He will always be a target - I wish him the best - He makes football on your new big HDTV screen a reason to hesitate before getting up for another well-chilled Corona
- Hey Ripper! Get me another beer!
- Good boy Ripper - Good dawg!

All about politics now. That’s why I stopped watching NFL years ago. It has become the bread and circus of the political elite. No move or tackle can be made without being tried through a political lense, and every call is based on social justice, and not ability.
My son says that Manziel is the Justin Bieber of the NFL. It makes me chuckle when he says that.
I was in a Meijers store in Toledo where they were selling Browns t-shirts with Manziel’s number and name on the back for TWENTY EIGHT BUCKS APIECE!
No way no how he comes out of training camp as anything other than the starter.
