Media stirring about a "purge" tonight, based on last year's movie "The Purge" which depicted a scheduled period where all crime was legal for 12 hours. With the Ferguson events deflating as the "good boy" starts appearing not so much after all, those looking for an excuse to continue recent rioting (for rioting's sake) may be leveraging the confluence of news & entertainment into real life.
But we conservatives were told we were stupid to think that Hollywood influences the public and we had to protect our kids.
In this version of The Purge, a lot of the good guys are heavily armed.
Hey, Friday evening...it’s when the ROP folks go wilding.
Won’t matter. No matter what revelations came out about Trayvon Martin, they still want to lynch the “white Hispanic.”
If the truth conflicts with their cherished perceptions, the truth won’t matter to them.
In this version the purgers will be the purgees...
The only problem is, in the movie, the government shut down all emergency services during the “Purge”.
In real life, the cops will still be out tonight.

You should see it trending shortly.
Never heard of this Purge Movie - In a futuristic America plagued by crime, the government sanctions a 12-hour period once a year in which all criminal activity is legal. When an intruder breaks into the home of James Sandin...
Well, as I tell my criminal justice students, one way to reduce the crime rate is to make all behaviors legal.
Of course, I wasn’t proposing that we should do that.
I live in a stand your ground state and don’t have to meet a burden of proof about whether an assailant is armed or not, only that I had legitimate reason to feel threatened.
It’s ok. Only about fifty people saw that movie.
As always, thanks for the heads up
I would just have to purge the clips of my Glock & Walther....
That won’t purge me of the sin when I kill all the progressives within reach. I’ll just have to pray for them instead.
The perps may be encouraged by the “stand back and watch/contain” attitude the cops had the first night of looting, saving the SWAT gear for (more or less) peaceful protesters. Start enough coordinated chaos, and the wantonly evil can make headway they only dream of individually.
Made about $83M on a $3M budget. A sequel is in the works.
The sequel is in theaters—fast moving to DVD right now.
I was making a joke. It was a crappy movie.
