Robin Williams was everywhere in San Francisco, it seemed, as he made a place for himself in the everyday fabric of a city where he once said he passed for normal.
The comedian was there to usher a few fellow inhabitants of the Bay Area into lifevisiting a pediatric ward, unheralded, each year on Christmas Day to welcome newborns to the world.
He also ushered friends out of lifedelivering a boisterous eulogy for an iconic local journalist known as Mr. San Francisco, musing on heaven as a nice bar in the city with a dry martini.

He should have just moved back to Taft. It was the best of times. I pray for you Mr. Williams with the hope of the Lord’s infinite mercy.

Sometimes you just can’t help it. I struggle with suicidal thoughts all the time, sometimes you are just sick in the head. It’s hard to explain unless you experience it.
I get to SF every few years..always make time for drinks at the “Top of the Mark”...stunning views..
When one dies and passes that threshold from the here and now to the afterlife, there is only one thing that is important
its how one is able to answer the question of and what did you do about Jesus Christ and the forgiveness He offered?. This is true for all of us
. and Robin Williams. We can never know what is truly in someone elses heart but there is usually all kinds of evidence based on what the individual said and did. Keep this verse in mind as the eternal destiny for anyone is considered
. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

I prefer the Buena Vista on California St at the cable car turnaround for Irish Coffee. I LOVE San Francisco, it’s the people I can’t stand.
He moved out of his Napa ranch, and has been trying to sell it because he couldn't afford it. At the time of his death, he was living in his mother's old home in Tiburon.
Yes..but he has about $25 million in equity in the place..
Prayers up for your pain to heal.
These are indeed black days for many - this chart (although the data only goes to 2010) seems to be saying ‘something is terribly wrong’. There seems to be no lighthouse on the horizon.

There was the crumpet store on Irving street which was good in the late 80’s. I ran the SF Marathon last year and ate pasta at Pasquales on Irving the night before.
Nice area.
Robin Williams before his most recent divorce owned the pink house at 540 El Camino Del Mar in Sea Cliff (San Francisco).
I hear ya! Not fun at all to be in the dark place.
What an indictment.
His first wife was from the New Haven, CT area. Her father owns “The Only Game in Town” - a miniature golf, race cars, batting cages establishment not too far from my house.
Back in the early 1980’s, just after Mork & Mindy got big, my best friend was at a disco (remember those!) in New Haven when Williams showed up. Put on quite a show on the dance floor.
Well THAT explains a lot!
