The University of Minnesota is working with the Minnesota Vikings in an effort to keep the Washington Redskins’ name from being used in “promotional and game date materials” during the NFL teams’ Nov. 2 game at the school’s stadium in Minneapolis, according to an Aug. 1 letter from university President Eric W. Kaler to U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.).

History tells us that the Vikings raped pillaged and plundered. Why is it ok to have a team named the Vikings? But not ok to be the Redskins???

Patriots is likely offensive to people, too. The liberals in New England should re-think that term. Bring back the “Breakers” from the USFL. That was such a peaceful and generic term. Better logo, too.

The solution is obvious and simple. Move the game to Washington. That’s what the commie ‘RAT libs would do. Boycott the U-Minn stadium.

There are so many team names which are offensive to liberals, if they carry this forward:
Green Bay Packers is offensive to real meat packers.
Pittsburgh Steelers is offensive to real steel workers.
Dallas Cowboys is offensive to real cowboys.
San Diego Padres is offensive to the Catholic Church.
New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Angels have religious connotations. Can’t have that.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish is offensive to the Irish.
Boston Celtics is offensive to the Celtic peoples.
Seattle Mariners is offensive to real sailors.
Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Pirates, Tampa Bay Buccaneers all are honoring the criminal element.
And all of the animal nicknames are offensive to the actual animals.
First they came for The Redskins...and I did nothing because I wasn’t a Redskins fan......
Seriously, the PC brigade won’t stop once they get the Redskins’ scalp on their wall.

Yep, our country is being run into the ground and this is priority.....well this and hauling Dr. Oz onto capital hill to grill him about a weight loss plan, that some fat lib probably used and didn’t work for them so they wanted payback.
So many nicknames are offensive in one way or another, if we are going down that road.
What nicknames are not offensive? Washington Nationals? New York Mets?
And violent, After every Patriot score the "Minutemen" fire off their muskets. The Horror!
I recall UMass tried to get rid of the “Minutemen” as their team name.
This is hypocrisy of the highest order. The name Vikings celebrates European savages who were ignorant and uncultured and obviously insults Swedes and Norwegians and Danes. And they are horrified at the name Redskins???
If they get the Redskins to change their name, they will move on to the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Black Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Braves, etc.
New York Giants is offensive. It is discriminatory against smaller people. That name should be changed to New York Inclusives so everyone can feel part of the experience.
