School district officials were investigating a photo circulating on social media on Wednesday of a group of cheerleaders from Redlands East Valley High School posing in what appeared to be gang attire.
The picture showed some of the girls had stuffed their shirts to look pregnant, while others flashed gang signs and were holding simulated weapons.
Reaction to the photo was mixed.
One parent commented its really sad, after viewing the photo on Facebook.
Another parent thought it was just a harmless joke.
I think theyre just being teenagers, having fun, being silly, parent Sherry Garcia said.

I spent 13 years shooting high school and college sports team photos. With the exception of the BIG teams, most every team wanted to take a “funny”, “casual” or “silly” photo.
This is tame.
You should see some of the better, more creative group shots.
They were some of the most fun shots I did.

But there are still a lot of “wiggers” out there that love that culture even though they aren’t necessarily poor.
