Appearances matter. All of our lives we were told that by our mothers, school teachers, employers and etiquette books.
Yep, I don’t ever remember seeing Ricky not wearing a sharp-looking suit on I Love Lucy.
The cargo shorts don't bother me, but I detest all those other "styles".
“Little drops of water;
Little grains of sand;
Make the mighty ocean,
And the pleasant land.”
There is a Divinely designed order to the rolls of women and men. It protects women, men, children, marriage families, society. It gives great dignity and purpose to men and women. Anything, anything seemingly “right,” or convenient, and apparently insignificant at the time, that affects that order has consequences.
Remember when girls wore dresses to school, and people dressed with dignity for church, and women relied on their husbands to vote wisely, and provide for them because their work at home was honorable.....
Aw... nothing wrong with cargo shorts; I like the pockets.
What's just wrong is wearing a size that reaches the knees.
It matters to me. Every day I am disgusted and offended by the way some people dress out in public. Even employers let employees get away with bad and tasteless attire. I tend not to go back to a business who has slobs representing them. I don’t care if you are over weight, you can still dress appropriately. And I am sickened by all the bare dirty feet in grocery stores and restaurants!!!!!!!
Now now she THINKS she’s sexy. That’s all that matters right?.../s
We need to kill PC and bring back the truth. Forget about how people feel when its obvious they’re incredibly stupid. Some people need to hear the truth. It tuns them into a better person.
great idea
Cargo shorts? You take umbrage at cargo shorts?
While functional I am tired of seeing them every where. Church, high end restaurants, I even had an idiot wear them to a job interview.
See my 31.
Unfortunately they’ve done more than just smoke pot and smell bad.
They destroyed civilization.
You’re not alone.
I always figure that a person’s appearance, to some extent reflects the inside of his/her head.
Also, no self-respecting individual goes around looking like a refugee, if they don’t have to.
You just described a young mother I recently saw in a waiting room, only in addition to a similar manner of dress, she was slurping some kind of slushy thing.
The two kids in tow were around ages 5 and 7. Each had a bag of chips, wandering around the room, munching away and leaving crumb trails (never mind all the "No Food or Drink" signs).
The kids were still normal weight, but with the have-no-respect-for-yourself-or-others, pay-no-attention-to-rules-and-decorum, snack-no-matter-where-you-are learned lifestyle, that'll change in short order. Ugh.
Politically incorrect now
Were they in cursive??
When did we go from the Toga to the three piece suit? It must have happened in my lifetime, because I can remember owning and wearing three piece suits.
What’s with the mannequin at the head of the table?
