Mount Rainier, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the U.S. and in the world, is widely expected to erupt again.
The only unknown facing scientists is when the massive stratovolcano, 4,392 meters tall and located 87 kilometers southeast of Seattle in Washington state, will finally explode.
Scientists from the United States and Norway recently mapped the electric and magnetic signatures of magma flows beneath Mount Rainier (pronounced ray-near). Theyve also discovered a mammoth magma reservoir below the mountain that will fuel any eruption with massive magma flows.
The research found out that magma or fluid molten rock is trapped in a pool some eight kilometers below the peak. The pool seems to be some eight kilometers to 16 kilometers thick and has about the same width.

Big deal.
Volcanos blow up. It’s their job.
I lived through St. Helens - it was in interesting. The planets were aligned -— check it out. It was a massive gravity pull on the day it erupted.
None of us will ever escape the reaper.
Between then and now, please try to have fun.
Cockroaches are Democrats?
Eh, this could be handled, but if that think in yellowstone blows my impression is WE ALL GONNA DIE!
Well...yeah...that too.
Both are tied together geologically in the region.
“It was a massive gravity pull on the day it erupted.”
That was like Superstorm Sandy. High tide, full moon, etc.
LOL another retard post. Aggregate gravity of "the planets" 1 trillionth of the sun and moon.
So far so good.
Heads up if you haven’t heard about this.
Reverse that last, and you have it figured out...
I am not bitter.
The Seattle area has become a magnet for the Chinese. Was just talking to a guy that sold his own house. Everyone that looked was from China (including Taiwan) with the exception of a couple from S. Korea, and one white guy.
85% of home sales in Bellevue (city/suburb east of Seattle) is to foreign born. And I would guess 75% of that is Chinese.
Like Mt. St. Helens, the magma will not flow out of the crater on eruption. The magma in the volcanoes in the PNW is thick and barely oozes out unlike the fiery Pacific island ones. But the resulting ash/dust storm wil be tremendous!

If you said that the Cubs were in the world series this scenario would be more plausible.

“Cockroaches are Democrats?”
No, democrats don’t have 2 brains with one in their posterior.
Democrats just keep their head up their butts so it’s easy to make the mistake.
“Eh, this could be handled”
True. Mount Rainier is not an explosive volcano like Mt. Saint Helens - or Yellowstone. It would heat up, lava over the top, melting the glaciers and causing a lahar that would travel down the slopes at high speeds. In the past they have been tens of feet thick and have reached Puget Sound near Tacoma. Would be a real tragedy and lots of lives lost and heavy damage. But yes - it would be handled.
Yellowstone would kill off a huge number of people worldwide over the years by destroying the breadbasket of America that provides food worldwide, and also cooling our climate for years and years limiting worldwide crop production. I don’t think it is an extinction type event, but perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 of humans would die????
