My wife and I are avid movie attendees dinner and a movie every Friday for more than 50 years. This past Fourth of July was no exception.
In the movie guide that day, the PG listed America: Imagine the World Without Her (not reviewed). This seemed to be the perfect movie for us, so off we went to the Galleria theater. It started out pretty well, and then George Washington was shot by a sniper and the colonies supposedly lost the American Revolution. That is where the premise of the title ends and the growth of America was described.
--snip--
First, the movie portrayed him as a disciple of a well-known communist then it started to describe the Affordable Care Act as a failure along with the charge that large insurance companies orchestrated it (total garbage). It is working very well and is very popular with the American people. The Republican House has voted more than 50 times to repeal all or part of it with no success.
At this point, I began to boo in the theater and make unkind comments about the movie. My wife and I got up and left. As we were leaving, the movie was attacking Hillary Clinton (how desperate is the right wing?).

And we are supposed to believe that?
A union man!
“look at all the health care companies who signed on and their increasing revenue post launch. “
The movie pointed this out. Said Obama pretended to be against the insurance companies and for us when he was really for the insurance companies and against us.
Hoax and Chains.
I took my kids to it. My eight year old son liked it. My 5 year old girl fell asleep on my lap lol. He ‘got it’. They both understand “the witches are in control now” which makes explaining things easier. Kids seem to have an innate sense of what evil is. My kids know exactly what witches are about -god of the flesh, immorality, demeaning the soul, lust for power and control over others, etc. They scrutinize their media and the world against it.
I understand this imbecile exactly -
he thought, from the title, that the movie would be about a utopian planet sans America.
Jerks like this don’t deserve my oxygen.
My wife and I got up and left.

He am from Bizarro World!
I’m conservative. My wife and I rarely go to the theater. We won’t watch a film or listen to music where God’s name is blasphemed. We’ll take a risk at Redbox (Under $2 rather than $10+ each) but if there’s a “God D**n” we turn it off.
We were at a theater in Detroit and a character cursed God’s name within the first 10 minutes so we spoke with the management. If we’d gone through most of the movie we’d have left and wouldn’t have bothered complaining.
They apologized, said they respected our concerns and gave us two free passes for another show. We didn’t make a bit production out of it and we didn’t write an angry letter to the newspaper.
I’ve also seen “critics” give great conservative movies a poor rating. Sad.
I am scheduled for a day off on Thursday, plan on going to a matinee
Thanks for sharing your insights, dear justiceseeker93!
I have read a number of leftist attacks on this movie, especially from professional critics like Roger Ebert. Lots of complaints, and even accusations that the movie being full of lies.
Isn’t he dead?
The writer gets raked in those comments. It’s like reading FR. I’m loving it.
The dude is easily ancient enough to have seen this movie when it first came out:
Thanks for the ping.
FYI: I was explaining to my wife yesterday about the COSCO (book) issue and D’Souza meeting with the CEO.

The left hate anything to do with history. They abhor their mirror images and the totalitarian suffering they inflict.....complete denial, and therefore are esconced in a self imposed mental illness against freedom and individual responsiblility.
Let them see their ugly.
I have the book. I don’t go to any movies anymore.
That’’s a vision I like. Strokes everywhere.
