Most of the times, it is better off if the sequel to a movie was not made. There are probably a few movies that would have been nice to have one. Which movie(s) do you think should have had a sequel?
Shaun of the Dead did the zomb-com better. (Oh, and “Dead Alive”). The best part about Zombieland was Bill Murray’s scene.
Falling Down. The main character, D-FENS, wakes up in a nursing home after being in a coma for 25 years to take another walk through Los Angeles. This time instead of being frustrated by the gangs, corrupt government unions, racists, disintegration of the defense industry, etc., he simply laughs at and mocks the catastrophes each has metamorphosed in to.
Godfather II should have had a sequel.
Nah, Army of Darkness.
ping...
After 15 years, because brad bird didn’t want one. Smart.
Buckaroo Banzai.
The story begins in 1939 at a railroad station in Madrid, Spain, where chaos engulfs the streets as the Republican regime crumbles. Dolores, a toddler, is helped aboard a train, which barely makes it out of the station through the bombing and shelling and heads for Valencia. Dolores and her parents, Communist Party activists, barely make it aboard the last ship to depart Valencia before the city falls to Franco's Nationalists, and they sail to Cuba.
As she grows up in Cuba, Dolores is steeped in Marxism-Leninism as her parents remain active Communists. In her late teens, she joins Fidel Castro's 26th of July Movement.
However, when Castro comes to power, she is quickly disillusioned and joins the anti-Castro underground. Knowing her life is in danger following the defeat of the Bay of Pigs invasion, she flees across the Florida Strait to the US. Pursued by Castro's agents, she finally shakes them by settling in a small town in Maine.
The Sword and the Sorcerer. Low budget but a ton of fun - and the end credits said Talon would return . . .
Blade Runner is one of my all-time favourite movies, period, but I am not so sure about a sequel. IF there were a sequel, would it involve Deckard?
I agree with you on Flash Gordon. The ending certainly left it open ended.
Yes. Came here to wonder why we never saw the world crime league.
1. Citizen Kane
2. Ishtar
3. Easy Rider
From what I understand, based on some interviews, there was a sequel planned. There was even a script outline, but it didn’t gain any traction.
Blade Runner. I’m wearing my DVD down from over playing it. Where is #2?
Never saw it, but I keep hearing how bad it is! And think, how long ago was it made and yet it’s total uselessness is still worthy of comment. You gotta get up early in the day to make a movie that bad.
How about “Song of the South” #2? Oh wait we can’t even find #1. Zippidy do daah, zippidy ay to that.
“Team America”
F. YEAH!
Love that movie! One of the few I’ll watch again, actually watched most of it with hubby the other day.
And I loved that Thundercats brit tv show, also puppet spys, when I was a kid. I guess team america is kind of a big spoof on that, and other things, like reality!
