How will this story end?

So, was it because they were Muslim or because they didn't meet for drinks. Neither seems like an acceptable reason in this context.

There are Christians who don't drink. There are recovering alcoholics that don't drink. There are people who are allergic to alcohol. There are people who choose not to drink. Unless this scholarship was somehow connected to drinking, it doesn't seem like a valid excuse. It sounds like the idiot just wanted to be kissed up to. Give me a break.

Why not meet the guy for a drink, and have a coke or club soda? If modesty is the issue, bring a chaperone.

Wait, I’m site they would have served him something non-alcoholic. Tons of people don’t drink alcohol.

As I was reading the article it became clear there is a lot more to the story — one of the issues is that the scholarship is for Latinos, NOT Muslims, too bad...

“Ruiz told her Muslims are not eligible for the scholarship since it was for Hispanics only.”

She also falsified a letter of recommendation.

“Several months later, Elusta received an email accusing her of falsifying a letter of recommendation she sent to the School of Nursing at UIC, where she had hoped to attend after earning her undergraduate degree.

“Plaintiff never wrote this letter of recommendation; and she does know the alleged author, Linda Hull, who allegedly had plaintiff as a student in a microbiology class. Plaintiff had obtained the required letter of recommendation from one of her professors,” Elusta’s complaint states. “

With America being further subjugated by muslim lawfare and leftist agitation? Chances are good she is lying.

More info in this article — though the whole thing sounds fishy, because the article just repeats her claims, but did not go interview the university and the man she is accusing.

Anyway, here is the other article:

UIC student claims she was treated inappropriately, wrongfully expelled from school

http://voices.suntimes.com/news/breaking-news/uic-student-claims-she-was-treated-inappropriately-wrongfully-expelled-from-school/

Looks like she couldn’t be bothered to go and pick up the check, then she CLAIMS she got the call about going out for drinks.

“But because she was studying for finals, Elusta claims she could not pick up the check during the awards ceremony, which was held Nov. 22, 2013, according to the caucus’s website. She was told to grab it after November 24, 2013, the suit claims.”

ALSO she WAS notified about the hearing that resulted in her being expelled. She couldn’t bother to show up — she asked to have it postponed, but of course the university didn’t postpone it.

“A hearing was scheduled for April 16. Elusta requested to have the hearing postponed so she could hire an attorney, but she was denied, even though she reached out in the allotted amount of time, the suit claims.”

I am surprised that some FReepers just swallow her story hook-line-and-sinker.

She can predict to the hundredths place what her GPA will be after 3 more years?
