Can’t beat Hover.com. Great prices, incredible, personal service....

I use dyndns. Had a few domains with dotster, but have been moving them out to dyndns as they expire. There are lots of choices, the prices are competitive (and not all that much money, of you only have a few domains to register), and all the registrars “function”, i.e., get the job done. I wouldn’t suggest spending a whole lot of time making the decision.

Been happy with hostmonster.com. There are a lot of good ones that are priced about the same, so you probably can’t go wrong whichever one you pick.

Go with whoever offers the best deal. I have used Network Solutions for 15 years. I have no praise nor complaints for them. I have never had any troubles with my registered services with them nor with their hosting packages.

I use GoDaddy. As for them being pushy, perhaps they are. I have a simple response, “No, thank you.”

I have used GoDaddy since 2003. They work well for me. They only register the names, I use another virtual hosting service, Eapps.com, to host the sites.

Bluehost.com is good especially if you decide to host with them since their cpanel is a full buffet. Excellent tech support with quick resolution to issues. Been with them for almost 15 years. I encourage all my clients to register and host with them.

Registering a Domain Name...Best Companies?
Are you just going to create a domain name, or are you also going to develop a website?
If the former, buy it the cheapest place you can get it.
If the latter, I have used InMotion Hosting for years - zero complaints. Right now their cheapest plan is $5.95/mo and a free domain name.
My plan also allows me to host up to five additional websites, free.
